Must Have Apps

Yes, i used it before when i had dialer lag. My new rom doesn't lag (and the dialer is themed;)) so I haven't downloaded it.

Very nice dialer. And i loved the way you can easily switch between call log, contacts, frequent calls, just by clicking right above the dialer.

REcommend it if you don't like the stock dialer.

+1. If you have root you can even make it your default dialer.

hey i got some apps i wanna put up but i dont know how to create the barcode anyone got the tip....??

Are you trying to create one of these?

Is this for the Eris? I've tried to download it from your link but seem to be having issues. Any suggestions?

It works on my Eris... and it absolutely rocks. Beats the pants off of the default photo gallery for sure.

I think it is the website that is giving trouble... I had to refresh a couple times before the site would allow download.

I downloaded this one of Andrizoid's links and didn't have a problem. After you download it you have to use an file explorer like Astro to find it (search for archive-signed.apk), tap on it and it gives you the option to install.

What problems are you having installing? I always have a problems with these download websites like filefactory and megaupload. They make it confusing on purpose so that you will click on something else by mistake. Or maybe I am just easily confused :p.

I know someone mentioned Where's My Droid earlier and it was shot down in favor of Lookout, however I want to suggest it again for mainly one reason.

While I do appreciate that Lookout has three apps in one, Where's My Droid is far more useful when it comes to actually locating my phone. The reason why is because I don't need to get on a computer to find it. With Where's My Droid you can text a key phrase to your phone and either turn your phone's volume on if you've lost it or it will GPS your phone (two different phrases). The GPS is really helpful, it sends the GPS coordinates to the phone you texted it from, the coordinates are a link that you click on which opens up Google maps and tells you where it is.

There was a time when I left my phone in a taxi, I was nowhere near a computer. Thank god I was with someone who had a cell phone. We used Where's My Droid to find it and kept track of it all day until the taxi driver dropped it back off at our hotel.

Anyway, if Lookout had that same ability it would be perfect, but needing a computer to locate my phone is a real turn off.

Edit: I also found an app called batterytime lite that I like. It shows how much time I have left on my battery depending on usage. For example right now it says I have 315 hours remaining of idle time, 5 hr 25 min of talk time, 3 hr and 6 min of video playback, 5 hr and 54 min of audio playback and 3 hr and 30 min of web surfing. It also comes with a widget that tells you the remaining battery left. When you click on the widget it brings up the information on how usage time remaining.

Yeah, I've thought of this too, a feature that is lackin in Lookout...I have both installed on my phone XD

Why are you trying to open this file in windows? Just download it to your computer (do not open it), then transfer/move the .apk file to the SD card on your Eris. Use Astro File Manager to install the app on your phone.

Dont remember seeing this here:

For the eris two must have apps are:
1. Call log trimmer
2. Delete old messages

Apps that I personally like are:

Air horn - funniest way to wake up hung over friends; scare the shit out of drunk/high friends; or connecting to a car stereo and scaring pedestrians.

Pandora!

Bettercut!

Caller id faker – get your girlfriend to answer when she’s pissed at you by calling from her gynecologists number, haha.

sound manger - fix sound/vibration issues.

And shazam.

All easily found by name in the market.
