must have incredible apps

Been looking for apps to install when I get mine tomorrow and I think I have picked out most of the must haves on appbrain. On problemn I am having is finding a flashlight app that doesn't say 'only works w/motodroid' or 'must be rooted'? is there one out there for the inc? I presume any that work w/N1 should, but they all seem to require root.

Wondering the same thing .... had an app queued up but then noticed the comments that it doesn't work on the Incredible

What is a good app for weather radar?

I want to SEE the spring storms coming!

Weather Channel and the HTC Weather app do not have radar.

I'm surprised the Weather Channel app doesn't have radar. I do know that the Weatherbug app does. It's also my favorite b/c it provides extremely localized weather. :)

Also, some of you recommended not to use Advanced Task Killer because it uses too much itself. But it also kills itself when you activate the kill (its selected by default). This wouldn't use any juice, right?

Alright...I'll give the WeatherBug a chance for $1.99

+1 for weatherbug, at least based on my experience on my Storm. I tried almost every weather there was, and I always went back to WB for its ease of use and wealth of information. The little blurbs are useful, as if the weatherman just texted me what was going to happen today. And great forecasts down to the hour.

The only problem was that the radar was SLOWWWWWW. I'll blame that on the Storm and the fact it used BB Maps, which sucked.

I'm sorry guys...I tried the "map it" on TWC app but didn't realize it's radar. It just showed a map with surrounding cities pointed out. You can click on any of them for their local weather.

But I guess it also has the radar on there. We just have clear skies right now!

Is there a good Free Baseball app beyond the $15 dollar mlb authorized one. Is there an espn boxscore? or something like it?

Haven't tried it but "Baseball Scores" by Vireo gets pretty good ratings. Normally I'd post the link to AndroLib, but that particular search returns a billion results.

My favorite apps thus far is C:Geo

For those that are into Geocaching this is a must app. It downloads all caches nearby your location directly from geocaching.com Navigating by using the "radar" makes it almost too easy to find..

Awesome...thank you! I have never GeoCached because I never had an accurate GPS device...till now. I just signed up on that account and will do my first hunt this weekend. I even thought of a few places I could create my own stash.

I don't think there are any apps out there that would do what you want. There are location based apps that uses GPS and switches profiles based on the conditions you set. But it's only good for general area location not any specific like being on subway. Plus GPS only uses two dimensional coordinates, so it would not be able to tell whether you're underground or above ground.

For location based profile apps, there's "locale" like you mentioned and another one that a lot of people have been raving called "setting profiles".

I hope that helps you some.

Is there some kind of way to create an airplane mode shortcut or widget on the main screen?

Thats funny because I followed the link to download, sent and sms to my phone with the link to click on, and it said "Sorry Skype Mobile is not Available for your phone"

Just go to the Market and type "skype" it was there for me to download just now.

Can someone please point me to a frequently updated NHL Hockey fan app? Also interested in MLB, but I only saw the $14.99 one. I liked the ESPN App on my LG Voyager...
