That is really slick looking! I personally jam quite a bit of stuff on my home screen because I want quick access to stuff, but I really like that look. Would you mind sharing the background?

Here is my current setup. It's MikG 2.61 with Go Launcher EX (default dock theme but the icons are the plate theme). Also, the clock is Fancy Widgets and I just pulled the clock/weather images from the .apk files in MikG. Took a little effort to get it right but I eventually replicated the Sense theme.

it looks especially nice in landscape mode when you can see the hookers on the sidewalk, haha

I blow through ROMs like crazy, so my setup is constantly changing, but here was my favorite.

Lock Screen (I added some folder widgets to this):

Edit - Now that I just posted it I think I should go back to it and finish it up.

Actually this is my homescreen, had to change the weather widget.

Know what I like best about the galaxy s2 theme, the home screen icon tray on the bottom are scrollable, I can have 3 different set's of home screen icon tray.

Most of the aftermarket launchers (GO, LauncherPro, ADW) do the same. Makes it really easy to just setup 15 of your frequently used apps and nothing on the screens themselves.

Ahhh, thanks for the lesson...

I love the way my EVO is set up, and even fooled people (for a few minutes anyway) that it actually was a GS2.

This thread could not have arrived at a better time since I've been looking for various ideas on how to customize my phone. Currently, I am on mik v3.0 and lets just say I've grown quite bored with my setup. I have looked at various themes on his site and I am not too fond of any of them. i would really like to change the entire look; dock, icons, notification bar, widgets, EVERYTHING! The ROM is pretty awesome (well, when the internet isn't force closing) but it doesn't seem very customizable as opposed to cm7 which has hundreds of cool themes to choose from. Furthermore, I've never even tried AOSPs and i think it would be quite trivial of me to switch merely for "looks" since I love mik's performance.

Seeing all of the awesome setups in this thread, I wonder if you guys had any recommendations. When it comes to launchers, go launcher and adw launcher seems to be the general consensus but what about docks and notification bars? Also, is it possible to use cm7 themes on mik v3.0? Sorry about the detailed post but I figure your advice would help me tremendously!

Unfortunately you cannot use theme Chooser themes on sense based roms. I would highly recommend trying out aosp because the theme switching is so simple. It's all handled by the theme chooser app.

Thanks ya so much for the quick responses and sorry for the double post (not sure how I did that). It seems that I am leaning more and more towards AOSP ROMS especially if I want the ability to fully customize/personalize my rom. Unfortunately, the only thing that prevented me from making the leap is the performance. I've read numerous pages from xda's cm7 thread and a lot of people seem to have issues with the ROM. I love the customizing aspect but I wouldn't want to jeopardize my phone's functionality. Sorry for deviating a little off topic but do you have any suggestions? I know there are plenty of threads here on android forums that I can look at for help installing an AOSP rom but I would like to know your personal opinion. Since I want to drastically customize my setup (hope this makes sense), should I make the switch to cm7 or should I just stick with mik v3.0?

I prefer using a solid Sense ROM as my base since everything should work perfectly (GPS, 4G, etc.). If you start using a custom launcher and other apps where you create what you want to an extent then flashable themes aren't really needed. I may put a thread together that explains a lot of what's out there for modifying the look of your phone.

If you want more ideas, check out the base EVO 4G forum, there is a post your homescreens thread in there as well. That one was started last year I think. I'll post up a link once I get on my pc. :)

Here is my current setup, always changing though :P

ROM: CM7 Nightly 256
Kernel: Tiamat_Evo-v4.1.0-sbc
Theme: MattedBlues
Widget: Fancy Widgets

You know, I think I'll just keep my current ROM and play around with it. Not quite ready to make the jump to AOSPs. I'll post a picture of the setup I come up with. Thanks for the help!!! :-)
