Neat ROM

After flashing Neat ROM Lite on my i9100g, I haven't been able to boot my phone. It always gets stuck on the Samsung Logo Boot screen.
Tried booting in Recovery mode as well but it still gets stuck on Boot Screen.
Only download mode is working. Any suggestions on how to make it work again without having to use Odin to go back to stock rom.

PS- I forgot to wipe cache after flashing the ROM and rebooted directly.

Try flashing a stock Samsung ROM for your I9100G via Odin and then try to flash again

Hello and welcome to Android Forums rachit1189! :)

I am afraid that NEAT ROM is not compatible with the GT-i9100G variant.

The GT-i9100, that NEAT ROM is for, has a totally different kernel to the GT-i9100G.

You will need to flash a stock, "G", variant firmware via Odin to get you back up and running.

There is no need to wipe cache after flashing ROM, u should wipe cache before flashing ROM.

Hi Rachit1189,
Like ironass mentioned,
1.first u have to flash stock G variant firmware via odin,
2. then root ur phone with proper kernel,
3. download NeatROM for i9100G like SaleSale mentioned,
4. copy this ROM in the internal sd card
5. download GS2ROM Nuke Script by Hawker for full wipe
[ it is always advised to do a full wipe, but it's ur phone, so u get to decide ]
6. copy GS2ROM Nuke in the internal sd card
7. do a titanium backup, /efs backup, nandroid backup
8. reboot into recovery mode [vol up+home+power]
9. flash GS2ROM Nuke
10. flash NeatROM
11. reboot

That should do the trick...;)

UPDATE : for anything else, search the forum / ask here.
and let us know how did it go.

I've given my S2 running one of the newest versions of Neat to my mam (having moved onto a HTC One) but she's pressed something and the default keyboard has become detached from the bottom of the screen and can be dragged about. Does anyone know how this happens and how to put it back to normal? I'd be able to fix it myself from messing around but unfortunately she doesn't live near me!

Ahhhh... been a while since I last posted here.

I'll be going back to using Neat Rom. SnapdragonS2 has a massive battery drain, or maybe my battery is dying already.

Well, did some testing.

It was SnapdragonS2 Rom which was causing the battery drain, and not the battery.

SnapdragonS2: Left my phone @ 100% with WiFi on from 5AM to 6PM. It was drained to 40%

NeatRom: Left my phone @ 100% with WiFi on from 5AM to 6PM. It was drained to a spectacular 93%

(I always leave my phone at home when going to school. Robbery and Snatching is a very common crime here in the Philippines)

If there's an official changelist for LSY then it's a first - Samsung have never published changelists for firmware updates previously.
Unfortunately samsung never releases change logs so it's difficult to say what changes between releases

Hi lads :) been so busy, i don't have time to even scratch my (iron)arse ;)
