Neat ROM

Installed LPI Lite this evening.
I've been on Neat LPG for quite some time now, so as this is a new firmware version I decided to do the full monty. This is what I did:

1. Flashed LPI stock from sammobile
2. flashed old bootloader
3. flashed LPG cf-root
4. flashed LPI neat lite
5. reboot and set up phone in the usual way
6. flashed siyah and performed all my usual new rom tweaks
7. tweaked jkay LPG framework install script and installed over LPI
8. restored JKay deluxe settings settings in deluxe app.
9. tweaked JKay to green circle battery
10. applied my green theme and jelly bean animations
11. installed spell checker
12. installed S3 tweaks including S3 dialer with big caller picture, and S3 music player

All back to normal now! I know it may be a bit of an overkill as I would have saved a lot of time by simply flashing Neat LPI directly over my LPG setup, but I get more peace of mind doing it this way.

Not noticed any difference between LPI Lite and my previous Neat LPG, but that's not a bad thing, as I've been 100% happy with LPG. Hopefully Neat Lite LPI will live up to its predecessor.

Is it possible to install these S3 TWEAKS on UHLPS firmware? (latest Neat Lite) If so, I would really appreciate if you could tell me how. I like phone modding and S3 icons.

I have the SGS3 Tweaks and works a treat. JKDeluxe wont work though.

ALSO TO HAWKER. Can i have Kerri's number pleeeeeaaassse lol

I've not tried it on UHLPS. I gave up as soon as I couldn't get jkay to work on it

I've got UHLPG modem on now. Initial signs for me are that its not too much different to LPX. I've not given it enough time yet, so I'll see how it goes over the next couple of days.

I installed the green circle battery indicator but it only seems to go down in 15% blocks rather than each 1%. anything i can do to change this? else i'll be going back to the standard display.

You need installed 15 toggles before Battery mods!
 
you lot were on the right track, 15 toggles wasn't installed.
installed then re-installed circle battery. now works fine.

not only is this a great ROM, we can get fantastic support for it as well.

hawker im using lps, it still possible to flashed this zip?or my phone gonna freeze at Samsung logo boot?
 
It froze for me, but you're welcome to give it a go.
No harm as long as you've taken a backup first.
 
Does anyone have issue with the phone being unresponsive when you screen on after not using it for a while? I have to wait 10 seconds before the touch screen will respond.
 
Hi to all. As the checkrom v7 date for S2 publishing is unknown I decideid to try with neat rom.

Although, I have one-two questions.

1. Would I still be able to fix echo problem(by install Phone noise REC) that appears when mobile is in the case?
2. As this is my current situation:

what are my next steps?
Simply run Hawker Nuke script and just from CWM run .zip of nuke ROM.

Did I got it right ?

ps. As I'm from Eastern Europe (Croatia) shoudl I worry about versions to download if there is a choice :/

Please, have mercy to my noob questions. I haven't been on stage since checkrom v6. Would stay on it further, but I'm getting FC for last 2 weeks and I think it's time to change.

All I'm asking from mobile phone is simply ROM, decent battery life, good GPS detect and no noise while talking.
I'm cyclist, and I need phone what will run endomondo for 10-15 hrs without FC while taking pictures and telephoning :/ Am I on wrong place ? :D
 
Is there a theme or a mod to change the appearence of the toggles in the drop down notification window?

15 toggles is installed to get circle batt mod to work OK but how can I use status bar through JKAY? jkay's installed & set up but doesn't change anything.
 
Battery really draining away with this rom. Ive undervolted, lowered the cpu range , changed govenor , reset battery stats, turned off push notifications and still usage battery life is dripping away in front of my eyes. Overnight i lost 12% . This is on 1.2 LPG.

No help I know but I've been on the last 3 versions of this room & my battery life's really good. Almost best I've had!

LPG was really good, just flashed LPI & if it's as good I'll be happy.

May seem odd bit could it be to do with undervolting & changing all that? I haven't touched any of those that's all.
 
It was the same prior hence the change. 20 mins of browsing and Ive dropped 20% battery . Pretty shite to be honest.

I am running NeatRomLite v1.2 (CF) but the battery life is less then CheckRom v6. I want to give Siyah a try. But i installed JKay FW, will this be a problem if i switch to Siyah? Also Siyah release notes v3.3.2 states: "battery charging animation, service and lpm.rc from CM9". I like to be able to use the JKay battery settings.

Does the battery life already improve by switching kernel, or do i really need the ExTweaks with profile support for the Battery profile? I don't mind paying for software, being a developer myself, i bought JKay, but i first like to try it.

By the way, i checked running services and froze the following already:
- Accuweather Weather Daemon
- Digital Clock
- E-mail
- Exchange Services
- Social Hub

I still see the following running as active services and think i can freeze them:
- Software-update (also see SyncML-DS, i think this is related)
- MAPServiceSamsung

Or can i just disable these thru system settings? I already disabled google backup/restore.

And last but not least, thanks Sale, i do like the Rom so far :)
 
Siyah should improve your battery life significantly.
You need extweaks, but you dont need to pay for it if you dont want to. All the paid version gives you is the ability to change profiles on the fly. The unpaid version you will have to change profiles via CWM recovery.

I use bog standard "battery" profile. No other tweaks whatsoever.
Overnight drain for me is usually in the region of 0.25% - 0.75% per hour.

Installing Siyah has no impact on if JKay works or not, or the battery icon

There is no harm at all in freezing software update and SyncML-DS

So, if I got this right I need 15 toggles to use the circle batt mod's but can't use jkay in conjunction with?

I had Neat, Lite 1/1.2 before & worked with both JKAY & batt mod's.

If your going to use JKay, you wont need 15 toggles mod full stop.
JKay's framework has this as standard.
