Neat ROM

SaleSale releasing Neat Rom 3.1 shortly (rolling out to donors)..... . Welcome back mate you have been missed

Yup, XWLPT NeatRom Lite v3.1 is out for donors, I guess is stunning. Will flash it first thing this afternoon :D

LPU is now up sale. ;)

No doubt people will be clamouring for you to work your magic on this release. Personally, unless there are any major improvements over LPT, I wouldn't bother.

Just to let all you JKay-dependant folks out there,

Me! :ciao:

his current frameworks are not compatible with LPT.

Oh.... jam, plaster and butter it! :motz:

I've tried JKay's LPI and UHLPS frameworks, but both end up putting the phone into a bootloop.

Well... you tried your best old soggy moggy!

I'm not holding my breathe for a 4.0.4 framework from JKay, any time soon. I'm quite happy toodling along on LPI at the moment. :flute:

Thanks for trying JKay Hawker, you've saved me from wasting my own time. I too am more than happy with LPI.

Incidentally and off topic, what are the (technical) reasons JKay has many framework versions that are not interchangeable between updated ROMs ?

I didnt look at it for too long to be honest Syd, so I really couldnt give it a fair critique.

I would have normally done a full hog flash, ie:
ROMNuke then Stock LPT+Siyah+GB Bootloader in one Odin hit, followed by a CWM flash of Neat LPT, but I flashed this as a no wipe on top of my current LPI with the sole intention of finding out if I could get JKay to work on it. Had I found a compatible version I would have then done the whole hog flash.

The 10 mins or so I did have LPT on, I noticed the wifi menu had an Advanced button (as opposed to being an option on the menu key)

The new browser's address bar looked quite nice, but you have to go all the way to the top of the page to access it (ie. you cannot drag the screen down for this top pop up again on the top of the page). I couldnt find an option to make it work like previous versions.

As I couldnt get JKay to work, I didnt think it was worth looking at too much, as I knew my LPI backup would soon be coming back on.

Neat ROM Thread

(I dont see much point scattering posts making it more difficult people to find what they are looking for)
:)

And by the way, Sale has now released Neat LPU to donators

Is this any better than uhlps in terms of battery life? I was about to go down to lpi but then found out about lpu. Not sure if I should move up or down. Also is there already jkay framework available for this latest update?

I would very much doubt if there will be a JKay update until at least 4.1 comes out (hopefully Sept/Oct) which is the main reason I'll be skipping 4.0.4 and stick with my ever-faithful Neat LPI.

For me, the "benefits" you get with 4.0.4 (minus JKay) do not outweigh 4.0.3 (plus JKay)
I've nothing against Sales latest 4.0.4 offerings of course. I know these will both be up to his usual superb standards.

No doubt, I'll probably flash LPU soon for a quick nose around. :)

If you are not bothered either way with JKay, then I would definitely give Neat LPU a try.

In my limited experience both LPT and LPU both use more battery than LPI. Will give it another day but will probably go back to LPI.

ETA; am back on LPI as predicted. Going to stick with it until there's a decent JB rom.

Have tried a full wipe lpt and lpu and all seems very nice. But I use my exchange account to sync my work calender, and on both these versions I just cannot get it to sync. Back to lpi and all syncs just fine and dandy.

Anyone else come across this?

Is it a Rom issue or a 4.04 issue? I kinda expect the latter, unless any of my learned friends on here know otherwise?
