My phone was rooted with gingersteem 1.0 and cwr. I decided to do the the update from the lg website and it uninstalled it and put back all the metro crap back on it. So, i tried to tried to re-install gingersteem form the cwr menu only to find out that it was removed. So, i tried to do a factory reset hoping that it somehow get me to the cwr menu (very dumb idea). So now my phone loads to a blank screen. It has the status bar at the top of the screen showing the battery, signal strength, ect. and that's it.

So any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. http://www.androidforums.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

you have to reroot it and reinstall cwm

Root the phone. Install CWM. And then install a ROM. Done.

Didn't see the whole post, my fault

ok, so i have the zip files saved to my computer, but how can i reinstall them if i cant put the phone into internet connection?

It needs to be in "USB" mode, and you'll need a MicroSD USB port or a slot for the MSD on your computer. If you don't have one, you can put the MicroSD in an old phone, plug it into the computer, and move the file like that.

i cant even change the connection mode. i put the files in the sd card, but the phone will not let me do anything. i cant get to any menus, options, or anything. its just a blank screen. if i try to restart it, it'll just get stuck at the lg screen. then i'll have to factory reset the phone again which takes me back to the blank screen again after its done. if it helps, after i go through the initial setup, i get this message...

the application setup wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

then the only option is to "force close" and then i'm back to the blank screen where i'm not allowed to do anything.

Its because the factory apps are deleted. Try using Android commander. Open commander and boot the phone up after you plug it in. Usually regardless of what mode you are in, commander will see the phone. From commander you can install stock apps or access your sd card.

Only thing i can think to do.

If you can install a launcher you will beer good to go.

i sent him a link to a launcher in a message it should pop up in his notification where he can go right to the market and install it.

exitrecovery.zip?

access to your sdcard from another phone .... put your sdcard in another phone and connect it to your pc.

I had that problem and the only solution was: put my sdcard in another phone and put exitrecovery.zip in my SDCARD and flash ..

Ok so I have downloaded the zip put it on the sd card with the zip format? or extract? or just drag into the lets say download folder on my sd card?

not extract .. just put the zip in your sdcar and flash

Place the zip in the folder where you have your roms .. to remember the location .. and flash
