"It looks like quite a few lucky Sprint subscribers are about to see LTE service finally come to their local market on April 12th, at least if an alleged internal memo turns out to be the real deal.
The news of the upcoming Sprint network expansion was first reported on by Phone Arena, who received the memo from a inside source. In the memo, a total of 21 markets are listed including Los Angeles, Norfolk and Memphis.

I got a taste of LTE in ATL earlier this month and 'Meh'. I'm a bit disappointed. I posted my thought in another thread.
Why did you feel "meh" about it?
I'm more optimistic about NV updates

I don't seeing as lte 800 and 2500 will be implemented as well which vzw don't have which will help speeds stay up and consistent.
It's really not a matter of the spectrum they use, but the carriers used by that spectrum. Sprint is only doing a 5x5 deployment vs. VZW/AT&T's 10x10 (in many markets, but not all). That alone will limit the throughput we could achieve on downlink/uplink. I think theoretical maximum is like 30/15.
That's true but sprint makes up for 5x5 by having lte on every tower unlike vzw and att.

Okay so while at work today sprint sent me this auto text message and iv never received any information from sprint about my area and the service. I do not currently have 4g lte in erie, pa and when you click the link it goes on to say they are building a new network in my area to enhance the 3g network and to also bring new 4g lte service but erie, pa is not listed on their 4g lte list of cities not even as a future 4g lte city so has anyone else ever recieved a random sprint text like this? Cause if this means 4g lte could be coming to erie, pa that would be amazing cause quite frankly it sucks paying $10 a month for nothing and I'm not going all the way to philly or pittsburgh for 4g no thanks!!!!
SprintFreeMsg: Erie, we're building you an all-new network! See how this affects your service at Get ready for YOUR ALL-NEW NETWORK
Ok, I'm starting to get more optimistic about NV

Feels like rollout has stalled around my office in Manhattan. :banghead:
