Root New .591 Gingerbread (Gingerblur) leak

are you on d2 bootstrapper?
did you hit bootstrap recovery, hit ok for success
then hit reboot recovery?

if not try it :)

ok ty.. i didn't notice it until you mentioned it. I was away all morning.

GB_591_Deodexed.zip is the correct file, I'm assuming.

The other one is 591_DeoApps_OdeFrame.zip

I never erased it. :p

Edit: had to use gingerbreak 1.2 for this build build too??

I download and installed Deodexed Apps & Odexed Framework
and now I see a Full Deodexed Version
can I install the full deodexed version on top?

I installed the full deodexed over the odexed framework without wiping and had no problems. As always, took a little while to boot the first time but all is well.

did you guys do a wipe before installing .591 over .588??...P3's instructions say you can install it right over .588, but nothing about a wipe...

O'k, I see a lot of talking here about this new .591 and a lot of questions about it. but i don't see a full review yet. Is it worth it to update to .591 or wait?

For me it was worth it. Never had good luck with 588. 591 runnning with golauncher is a champ for me. 8 hours up and runnning 80% battery left, no fc, all sytems and apps running so far. Quadrant scores much better on my phone for what that is worth.

I did have a hicup with gingerbreak, got stuck on "M" logo and I pulled the battery and rebooted after about 15 minutes. The root took it just never rebooted by itself.

There are to many different leaks,seriously....I cant keep up,so I went back to froyo.Does this new version still activate your ringtone when the battery is fully charged? I leave my phone on my bench,at work plugged in while i listen to the music player,on GB,it was constantly ringing telling me to unplug to conserve energy,I dont miss that one bit...also it took a full 10 minutes olus to reboot the phone,is that still the case?

You CAN SBF back to Froyo. You CAN NOT restore a Froyo based nandroid backup if you are running Gingerbread. If you want to restore a Froyo based nandroid you will have to SBF first.

Yeah I found this out firsthand.

By the way, I thought SBF flashing was going to be such a pain in the rear but it was fairly straightforward. Might have been simpler for me because I was already running a Linux distro (Linux Mint).

i never had that happen on ANY of the GB leaks...

i think i've seen you say this before...and again, i have not had this problem on ANY of the GB leaks...except for the first time i boot the deodexed version...and the first time i booted this new leak after running GingerBreak...and even then it was only actually MAYBE 3 minutes...

i just turned my phone off right now...and then turned it back on...as soon as the red M logo came up i began counting...the lock screen came up at 55 seconds...

GB is superior. No doubt about that. It makes me want to buy another Moto next phone.
