new fresh rom....

can anyone answer this?


the last intruction flipz has on his page is as follows:




Update:
  • If after flashing you end up with any data issues then first try rebooting. If that doesn't resolve it for you then try updating your profile and PRL. This is a side effect of the different PRI's and PRL's that people have ended up on. You may actually need to update your profile and PRL a couple times to get everything going but I promise it will. You should end up on PRL 60663. Update:

-- now everything works for me, but my PRL says 60662. should i try updating until i see 60663? if everything works good, and it says not roaming in my status...

I ditched Picasa as soon as I found out they don't protect your rights to the photo's you post. Flickr gives you full copywright protection.

It appears they have changed the wording to sound like you get copyright protection, but this section kind of blows that out of the water.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread.

I am still on the fence, I love Flipz work but this is my business phone. I may give it a shot this weekend and switch back, but the PRL workaround has me kind of worried.

Airave is a device that you connect to your broadband internet. It then becomes a personal cell tower providing up to 5000 sq feet of coverage. it costs $100 bucks to buy it and $5.00 a month on your bill to use it.. BUT, it allows 3 Sprint phones to be using (talking) it at the same time and gives you MUCH better signal. For me I get 1 bar.. or 1 bar roaming..or no signal.. depending on where I am n my house and which direction I face. to get 1 bar sprint I needed to be facing north and outside was best.. now, I get 6 bars throughout my entire house. I even get 3-4 bars outside over 200 feet from the house (I have a driveway that's 600 feet long)

since I HAVE to have cell coverage at home since I'm on call for work at least 2 weeks a month, this was the perfect solution for me. Oh yeah I also don't have any ring lag...of course if I lose power or internet, my cell service drops to near nothing.. but if that happens, I won't be able to do any remote server support anyways so at that point it doesn't matter.

Battery or generator backup, my friend...large batteries or a 10kw generator.
 
I just installed fresh 2.0d and was wondering if anyone has live wallpapers working? If so, is there a setting somewhere I need to turn on?
 
Livewallpapers do not work with sense. You must disable sense and enable launcher for LWP to work. If you don't know how to do this do the following:

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>HTC Sense>Clear Defaults.
Back out and then press the Home button. You will now get prompted to choose how you want to proceed. Either choose sense or Launcher. If you want LWP you must choose Launcher, and then they will work.
 
I take it some wallpapers just don't run on our heros. I just tried the rotating earth and my phone has seemed to have crapped out on me.

Is anyone else getting a partial wake lock with this ROM? First it was mail, now it just says android system is keeping the phone on. I followed all the instructions he gave =\
The lock is off and on, but it can still go for a few hours at a time. Not sure how I get it to stop either

If I'm correct Android system should be always on top when you check partial wake. I had always had Android system on Fresh 1.1 and now 2.0d on top. Battery life was excellent on Fresh 1.1 and on 2.0d I'm still keeping track but I would say battery life is good so far.
 
I'm taking it a complete wipe is suggested?

I would be coming from Damageless 1.0 to this.

so far I'm really liking this ROM.. I'll probably stick with this one until the official 2.1 release (and Fresh made off that of course)

It’s an issue with su permissions. I knew about it and thought I had resolved it, however I don’t ever reboot my phone through the phone itself so I hadn’t confirmed I resolved the issue. On a scale of 1-10, how annoying is it for you? lol. I could make a patch but all sources point to us having our final in a few days."
 
I have been running fresh's 2.1 for two days now and have to say i love it. The difference between 1.5 and 2.1 is amazing. Maybe Sprint should give fresh a cut and start flashing his ROMs.

One Airave drawback to be aware of is that it doesn't provide EVDO. If you have Wi-Fi, no problem. If not, data is restricted to 1x speeds.

The main problem is that my wake time is upwards of 90% after 5 or 6 hours...
=/

Other than that, this is a fantastic ROM. I switched to DC2.05 because of the wake time issue, and it went away. I don't really see any difference between the two ROM at this point, other than that you can use the kitchen with this one (fresh)
