new update to 2.3.5 standard

Hi every1. my phone has just updated itself to 2.3.5. I just went to software update in the about phone in the settings an it updated to 2.3.5. I thot the next update was .4 as mine was .3. but ill take it if there giving it out. My phone is not rooted.iv even noticed that wen u swype down the menu, theres a blue tinge at the bottom of the screen. nice!!!!!

My phone popped up an 'update available' message while I was driving home this evening but before I could do anything the message disappeared and no update was available. Weird?!?

As you are now saying you have overscroll when you previously did not, then a firmware upgrade it most certainly was.

First one I've heard of. Congratulations!
I sincerely hope you were connected to wifi at the time! :)

am amazed at the speediness of vodafone releasing 2.3.5

uncharacteristically responsive

and ota too rather than via kies.

any other vodafoners had this??

Same happened to me today. I was happy about the OTA update but it was short-lived

Hey! My gf got her phone from HK, and she is on 2.3.5!!! But I got my phone from UK O2... and I'm still on 2.3.3!!!!! So unfair

im on an unsecure 2.3.3 on voda uk, cant get firmware back :( so annoyed

If you have rooted your phone then you will not receive OTA (Over The Air) updates or be able to update via Kies as your phone is not recognised.

If you wish to revert back to the stock Vodafone firmware, that came with your phone, you will need to reflash the stock firmware from the list, here:-

[ROMS]Official i9100 carrier branded firmware download for Odin Flash - xda-developers

Hope this helps. :D

Ah man.....

I'm on O2 on the UK and I'm still on 2.3.3. I keep checking for updates over wifi but no luck.... :(

I havent rooted but have used odin to update to xxkg2 2.3.4. Does this mean OTA won't work on mine now?

I am using a sim free CPW S2 on Vodafone sim only.
