new update to 2.3.5 standard

Save urself from rooting ur phone and get ur gs2 on vodafone and it will come with 2.3.5 preloaded.

unfortunately that's not gonna happen as i just upgraded today and waiting for delivery.

i get half price line rental (friends and family discount) so i'm pretty sure vodafone can't offer me anything close to that..

Hi guys, I'm actually really new to my smartphone. this being my first smartphone I'm learning it all.

When i go to about phone. I see I'm on 2.3.3. How can I update this. My phone won't find any of itself?? I'm connected to wifi.

How can I update this?

Download and install the Kies PC software from Samsung, and it has an option to check for updates. Currently I'm only aware of Vodafone UK using OTA (Over The Air) updates.

I'm on Vodafone UK (but an unbranded unit from Phones 4U). Has Vodafone only updated the branded units?

If so, that's ironic (that's the polite word!) as when I upgraded from an HTC Desire I deliberately moved from Vodafone branded to unbranded to get faster updates. Typical!
