She has given 5 friends including me a prepaid debt card with enough funds for the device and a case. She has been known to do things like this, she is definitely on point.
Wow, nice for you!
I'll have to pay for mine myself...

Ah, very nice little work around.
I got the same notice and was like: "OH GOSH ITS HABBEDING!!!" only to find out it was a reminder... Oh well, still was nice to see it was working
I am not financially capable of purchases like these, I also told her that I am enjoying my current device but she dropped off the prepaid debt card either way.
She doesn't do this often and it would take me a year or longer to afford majority of devices.
I just want to know which storefronts will have them since I don't have an address for deliveries.
That's a shame because every other location that does sell it is likely to charge more for it in order to make some profit compared to what Google will sell it for on Google Play. For example, T-Mobile carried the 16GB Nexus 4, but while Google sold it for 349 T-Mobile sold it for 500 initially and then raised it to 550 while supply was limited!
As for actual stores selling in store, I haven't seen any reports of who's carrying it. Though some people who work for Best Buy have claimed it isn't even in their computer system.
Well than luckily I have a contingency plan, utilize my friends address...just got the all clear.
Not gonna lie, I am hitting F5 every few minutes.
It's got that bad.

Been doing it all morning!
You're not the only one.
Just use Google Chrome and the extension called Page Monitor. That is what I used for the N4 to get the jump on everybody. I shouldn't be telling you this because it increases the chances that I won't get one but oh well.
I am not sure if this has been posted but FWIW...
This device will be a beast, I believe it will be readily available November 4th or 5th...maybe this Friday but either way this will be a beast device as long as there is no serious hardware/software hiccups and or a plague of lemons.
I can't believe that my friend will be purchasing up to 6 and one will be given to me.
The specs have already been confirmed for some time with leaks and video, but still that's pretty nice. Just to be picky I wish the front camera was higher in resolution so if could to do full high definition.

Just to distract us for a second, could someone answer this for me.
Why am I buying the Nexus 5?
I already have the Nexus 4, all that the Nexus 5 will really give me will be a better camera and LTE. Which are nice features but I'm not too bothered about them.
After the initial excitement, it'll be virtually no different from having an N4 in my pocket, I can't see any advantages it will really give me. Sure, the screen is sharper and it has a better CPU, but nothing runs slow for me now, and 720 on a 5 inch screen is fine.
I know all this, and I know it will add almost nothing above the capabilities of my N4, yet I'm still going to buy it, why?

I'm in the same boat. The only reason I can justify it is that I sold an iPad 3 that will cover the cost.
