We have quite a few folks here on ds including me ...I love it and agree its very fast and very stable and highly recommend ....a lot of people just like to try newer releases etc but there is plenty of ds love!

DarkSlide v4.2 is my go to ROM. While I do check out all the newest releases to see If I will like them I always go back to DS. There are some ROM's that are slightly faster than DS but I still haven't found a ROM that has the speed AND stability of DS. In short I LOVE DS!

Tried DS once, couldn't get past the theme though... way to busy and colorful for me.

I liked it but it was laggy on my phone. I am guessing my phone could use an SBF honestly. Anyway on Liberty right now.

DS, FTW...
Tried Ds 4.1, liked it a lot, decided to try another (apex) was ok for a minute, then became unstable (YMMV) went back to ds 4.1 waaaaay better for me.
Now on 4.2 and my radio is much cleaner, better voice quality, the transitions are smoother and all around, IMHO, a more refined ROM

I installed DarkSlide 4.2 sometime after originally rooting my X and really liked the ROM. The ONLY problem I had with it is, since it is already heavily themed there are really no themes available for it, if someone wanted to change to something else. Other than that, it is a great ROM!

There is a bunch of themes that were ported to DarkSlide an many other ROMS over in this thread at DXForums.

Have not tried one out for Darkslide yet but they are suppoded to work fine with no issues.

May flash this sometime.

I have thought about this in the past, and still kind of do. I just think about all the questions and support I'd have to give, and then those feelings of learning/making a ROM go away......hahaha
I tried darkslide in both normal and blur,they both ran very slow on my device,and i found the animations not only annoying,but they slowed down the transitions,I wiped both backups with days.The stock moto rom was much faster than Darkslide on my phone.I find rubix roms run best on my device,liberty is unstable after a few days,and gets laggy,only way to keep it is to keep installing a fresh version off the sd card. I wish i had more choices,as i love the look of Darkslide,I tried dl form different sources,wipe cache,data,format,install,didnt matter,it was just Sloooowowww....I wish i knew what was wrong...

Good point....maybe we could make one and make it rock solid, then release it as anyonomous and just disappear....lol....
