Note 7 Recall - Anyone been contacted by Samsung or their carrier yet?

Sounds like whole lot of folks have had the same experience that I have in trying to trade the note 7 for a loaner. That's why I still have mine. Online reps say one thing then the corporate store reps say just the opposite and we spin in a circle. BOOM! There goes another one. See how much they care?

I have changed mine in singapore just yestersay said the new phone already solved the battery probmem and i have got $30 shopping cash vouchers.

From my understanding with Verizon you Will have to return everything that came in the box. You will get a new box to replace everything.

Yep. I just found the FAQ's on their website.
Please visit your local Verizon Wireless Store or, if purchased from an Indirect Agent please visit that Indirect Agent Store, to return or exchange your Note7 device. Bring your device, charger, accessories, packaging, and receipts you have to process your return.
I hope everyone knows where all of these pieces are after all this time!

Do you suppose Verizon will charge us for missing pieces or refuse to take the phone back if something is missing? Say you can't find that little gadget that sticks in the hole to open the Sim card/SD slot. That sucker is tiny!

Just got off the phone from my local Carphone Warehouse (UK), they are advising that they don't have the stock to replace my EE note 7 until October 23rd!!! anyone else getting this off them?

System update flashed up. I've ignored it thinking it may be the 60% battery thing. I work 15 hour days I can't have it at 60%.. My UK exchange is set for 3rd October. I'm not having any problems so I'm happy to tick over as I am til then.

I have a tracking number per Verizon now but UPS can't locate any shipping details since yesterday. Sigh. I just keep saying...patience is a virtue.

Mine is out for delivery after they told me the order was cancelled so who knows wat they (verizon) did to my account since the guy that placed the order the other day screwed up and tried charging me for stuff

Just called Sam's today. No Note 7's. This is totally unacceptable. I think i am going to go and give them my phone back along with a check for the $150 gift card and tell them what they can do with the check.

I understood your post. I was suggesting that you return their note7 then go to Verizon who is now selling them to anyone and everyone and start over as though you never bought the first one. Only take your docs with you to be sure they waive those pesky fees!

I would have done that yesterday while I was there, but I didn't have time before or after my appointment to cancel the whole thing. So here I sit. They showed me the call list, and I am #1 for Verizon... so I'd better get a freaking call today or tomorrow to get up there and swap it out. If not, I'll drive up there, take whatever time I need to cancel the whole stinkin' thing, and pop over to Verizon and buy one full retail. Ball's in their court.

I'm not doubting that Samsung's doing a Note 7 recall, but has anyone been contacted by Samsung or their carrier yet? I haven't, and I haven't seen a peep about it on Samsung's web site or Verizon's. Seems weird. Or is it just still THAT early in the adventure? Are we going to see Dongjin Koh's head roll?

I loved my first Note 7 and I like my new one even more. I'm going to be really ticked off if they pull this phone off the market. I have never had any problem with either one of them.
