Note 7 specs - whoa! (if it becomes a reality..)

I am not expecting a 128 or 256 gb version in the US with Verizon. But it better damn well be at least 64 gb. The 32 gb on my N4 is constantly full, and I have moved all the apps I could over to the SD card. Seems that every time I update an app on the Play store it moves it back to internal memory. I have all pictures, videos and music on the SD card. I have a 128 gb card and it has around 5 gb left. I have to uninstall apps that I would probably leave on the phone because I don't have space for them. It isn't a huge deal, but it is a PITA to constantly be moving apps around to SD so I can have barely enough space on the internal. 64 gb internal would remedy this however.

Totally get that, Teegunn. I had issues with running out of space on my 32gb w/ the Note 3 and currently with my Note 10.1 (2k14). Having purchased a 128gb Mate 8, I almost can't imagine having less than that internally now. I've been a lot more carefree with how I use my phone than I have been in the past and more willing to test out apps and take quick snapshots that'll end up on the internal storage, just because I'm not worried about the internal memory getting blocked up. I'm totally with you on the 64gb internal, but microSD will always be a pre-req for me (which is why I skipped on the Note 5). I'm definitely not banking on having a 128gb or 256 being available in the US, but would absolutely love if Samsung went all out with the offerings.

One month away from announcement, almost. I don't mind 64gb at all. Still curious if they will offer higher storage options from US providers. Crossing my fingers

Had to share this in here because the thought of it give me the feeling that I'll be able to keep the Note 7 for possibly as long as I kept the Note 3 (if not longer, depending on how the battery holds up).

- Although, I'm skeptical that the higher storage version make their way to the US, but if the International unlocked version (or more specifically Korean version) has it, I seriously may consider picking up one directly from T-Mobile and another international version. As much as I love the Mate 8, I'm not opposed to putting that phone on the sidelines in favor of using a Note 7 for personal and work.

And even though I won't be buying it until it drops below 100 (which it will, eventually), I would still upgrade all my 256 cards, once the 256 is released.

I'm seeing a ton of chatter about the processor. Instead of a Snapdragon 823 SoC, it looks like the Note 7 will sport a Snapdragon 821. That's sad, but I can understand if Qualcomm couldn't scale up production of the 823 in time. Samsung starts producing 5 million Note 7s in just a couple of weeks. Still, I would have really liked to have had an 823 in it. :(

Doesn't surprise me at all. Sadly I expected the rumors of the 823 to be too good to be true.

Well, this is not good... Samsung seems to be going cheap at the last minute!

:(

We'll see though. Maybe it was an early iteration of what was being used during testing (since they already had it for the S7 Edge, but the production model will be the 4000mah that has been rumored and hasn't been seen yet. Yeah, that is a tad bit concerning to me, but still won't be a deal breaker for me getting it.

Iris scanner looks nice and all, but this video addresses my concern: latency. How fast is the iris scanner, and is it as fast or faster than a fingerprint?

Not a fan of the Edge thing and definitely not a fan of an Iris scanner.

I am a fan of the horsepower that has been consistently rumored to be contained, and that's what matters most.

Although I don't believe the rumor, there's one floating around about the Note 7 actually coming in at a 6 inch curved display. While I'd be ecstatic about that (assuming the screen to body/bezel ratio is as good, if not better, than the Mate 8), I'm still leaning towards a 5.7 being the actual screen size.

Yawn!

If he says "cartoonish" one more time......

If anything, these icons look Mickey Mouse designed them. Samsung appears to be going the route of childish looking icons like Apphole offers for their sheep. I wish he showed us what the 'old style' icons, you could revert to, looked like.

I believe they should have named it Grace SUX

I couldn't watch the entire video because the new UI was boring me to tears. The UI and icons are far too appleish.... did not like. Nova launcher will be running first thing on mine.

Not really understanding what a Note 7 would have 3gb and a much lesser processor in it for being benchmarked. Still concerned about getting a lower spec'd phone than we've been expecting. Slower processor, less Ram, less internal memory and a smaller battery are all areas that I have concern with.
