Last time around when were you guys able to update? I think for me (in NYC) it was around 1pm. I'm worried it's not going to happen, I should probably stop hitting System Updates every hour :/

I was trying to remember but I was running leaked Froyo at the time so wasn't in a huge hurry. I SBF'ed to Froyo hoping to receive the OTA any day but, like you, I'm hitting the update all the time lol Probably should just forget about it and go back to playing L.A. Noire....I have the day off and this could be torture otherwise :p
 
When I was on the phone with Verizon yesterday, with nothing related to the OTA, the CSR mentioned that they are pushing the update out between May 27 and June 1.

le sigh. I want my Gingerbread. My favorite aspects of it are the word selection changes, grouping apps and the docking changes. Come on Big Red, make with the upgrade already.
 
Nobody should be expecting a thing until after June 1st. No reason to start writing it off, it will start rolling out but it takes time.
 
Ok, so I'm still on Froyo, rooted and have some bloat frozen with TiBu. If I unfreeze the bloat and unroot, would the update come thru? Will my root apps (Z4, TiBu, Adfree, Bootstrapper) be useless?

That's probably what I'll do...will the root apps I have for Froyo work with GB if/when they get it rooted? Or too soon to know? Do they work on the leaked version?

Based on the leaked builds, most will work. The only problem I know of is DroidX recovery doesn't work to get you into recovery, unless you turn off usb debug mode. O/w you need to use Droid2 recovery. Of course, this might change in the next couple days. :D
 
you should include, take it with a grain of salt, cause there have been many times, where they say we get it, then it gets delayed because of a bug lol, even though we have no bugs, but they do
