Have you tried Launcher Pro? I haven't found the DX to struggle and stutter whatsoever, after stopping use of the stock launcher.

Im using launcher pro, it did improve things, as did root, setcpu, autokiller and so on. Im a power user, so i have to be realistic with my expectations, so im not expecting perfection, but i do think its capable of better performance. Im no sowtware guru, but expect JIT to help these minor issues, as they are minor. If i understand correctly, JIT will be in froyo.

I bought me a new Silverado Diesel ,i redid the computer with a HP, and i put me a walmart go fast kit on it and a set of tires from a valiant and i took off the brakes and i run tomato juice instead of Diesel fuel...Dam this thing just isn,t running like it says it should....

Any Ideas????:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Friend of mine posted a link about a story where some owners are now getting the ota update. Can I post the link to the story?

Lmao, lets wait till september 10th, if we dont get any more info, then we'll call bullshit, till then i think some of us are overreacting, the droid x is great regardless.

Your right, I actually thought I might have some late breaking information to share and I was so excited to share it with everyone that I jumped the gun.

As long as it is taking to roll it out to the Droid it will be November or December if we have to wait for the Incredible to get theirs first.

Try ADW Launcher. I use it with no issues. And I am a power user.

Is 2.2 Availavble for Droid X via download yet? I'm a bit pissed that the Droid 1 users are getting the OTA and here I am with an X and have no idea when I will be getting it.

You do Have an idea of when were gonna get it... In September. its whats been said all along, everything else has just been people spreading rumors or not paying attention... How can you possibly be pissed that the droid1 people are already getting theirs? the phones been out longer then ours has, they deserve to get it before we do. anything else is like butting in line back in highschool. so what, droid1 users have 2.2 before we do... our phones still blow theirs away lol. so, relax, take a deep breath... youll get froyo soon enough.

Droid 2 comes with 2.2. HTC also comes with 2.2. So, it's obvious they HAVE it! They're just making too much fuss about the "X". The D X is also still not available ANYWHERE, while the new D2 is. The shortage of the X is what makes it "desirable" for most, and the lack of support and 2.2 is the same thing too... pheww!

Cant you just wait???

no we cant wait...we have to make a new thread everyday cause that will make VZW release it quicker.

On a serious note I do really want 2.2 but I am satisfied with my X now...So whats a few more weeks, I was hoping that it would of had it on release but I can understand VZW not wanting to release it until they get the phones to run stable on it.
