I understand that... But that's not what's going on. Its not "part of the app" that's taking the space. It's the whole app and its cache. Like I said I don't see the point in it if most apps end up 100% in the internal storage. I only got an extra 400mb worth of apps out of this and since the internal memory is full it won't let me install anything else unless I make some room in there and cross my fingers in hopes the new app will install to SD. If it worked like you say, then I would guess the 1.48GB of internal memory would be plenty to host all apks. I mean I don't even have that many apps at the moment.
All that being said, I guess it still beats the alternative: even less space.
You can always repartition your internal memory like many of us did and enjoy 2,6GB of internal space + adaptive storage.
I hardly even remember having 1,48 GB of internal space with my L70. And I have no complains whatsoever.

I would not agree, since I bricked my phone many times and a couple of times when partitioning in a wrong way, and have never seen what you say. I always had a working key combo to enter download mode and use Flash Tool.
Seems like Doze is getting better and better with managing wakelocks and power efficiency
