Got ANT TEK APP MANAGER PRO about two weeks ago as a fall back when I was having problems w/a FUBAR update from TIBU PRO.Very nice alternative to TIBU PRO!

I'm having the same issue, I did a fastboot sucessfully, downloaded the metro update and it ends up saying is up to date. :confused:
 
I flashed my phone back to stock but when i download the upgrade it says no update available your device is up to date what do i need to do thank you

This is what I did

1. flashed to stock
2. rooted it with z4root (Google search)
3. downloaded Rom Manager from market and flashed ClockworkMod Recovery
4. downloaded PlayfulGod's file http://androidforums.com/ascend-all...-2-froyo-rooted-deodex-bloatware-removed.html and transferred it to my sd card
5. rebooted into recovery
6.wipe data/ factory reset and wipe cache
7. installed zip file from sd card
8. rebooted

So, I'm kinda new to this site... I've been following this thread for a while now, but just actually registered. Is the first post no longer being updated? Has Cricket released an update as well, or just MetroPCS?

Self upgrade completed flawlessly......awesome...so it works....goto metro website, and download the update yourself and just do it yourself....works great...hope this helps.
 
I'm quite impressed with this update.. No lag at all. My apps run alot better. Market interface is more apealing.. Video playback is even improved.(3gp. I haven't tried any other formats yet). Metro did something half-way right... Scary.
 
has any one else come across this i cant restore my back up of 2.3.4 is stops at data says it cant be formatted what can i do to get it back should i just reflash i dont realy want to it took 2 days to get it to where i was satisfyed with my setup i dont mind the 2.2.2 update but i like the latter better it seems like wifi's slower for me data's about the same but why the heck is my wifi slower it loads ok but about 3/4 of the way thru loading it seems to slow way down
 
Well I decided to do the official upgrade and now well it seem my phone is stuck on the Huawei Logo. Not sure what its doing but I think i may have bricked my phone.

Anyone know how long the initial update is supposed to take?

it states about 2 minutes n its more like 10.

Great my phone bricked. Off to Corperate store for them to fix it.

ALERT!!! DO NOT USE THE OFFICIAL UPGRADE. IT HAS BEEN RELEASED BEFORE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. IT WILL BRICK YOUR HUAWEI ASCEND.

Just talked to metro and they are trying to pull that from the site.

The upgrade will brick your phone.

They may want to pull it off the site, but many of us have installed the upgrade with no issues.
 
I installed, rooted, and got rid of the bloatware crap, and it did not brick my phone at all.

Besides even if they do pull it, don't they know people already have it and have customized the hell out of it already...

Mad prop's to PG for his work on the update!
