The Droid and N1 both receive updates OTA... I know the Droid got 2.1 via OTA, I would assume Evo will as well..
And not arguing with you at all, I know updates come multiple ways, but I would assume FroYo will come to us via OTA.
I think we're confusing the term ota update. What I meant was it's not going to be a modular update that you can install and go. When you installed 2.1 your settings and home screens were reset and you had to reconfigure everything for the most part right? That's a full blown OS update, what Froyo will bring is modular updates which are installed and you won't need a full blown update, these mini releases will help with fragmentation.
How you get them ota through a website or in an e-mail is really irrelevant but since everyone is using the ota terminology I guess thats where we disagree. Although there is a big difference from getting a full blown OS update to getting small mini updates over time which is what Google wants to do.
