Ok this is super long, but read if youre interested, and give feedback if you want! I know some of you, (maybe more than it seems) are probably in a close, or maybe even same situation as me, so to give feedback and throw ideas out to one another definitely wouldnt hurt for our decision making in our cell phone futures!
So I was originally a Nexus One Freak and was obsessing about it more and more as each day went on, hoping it would come out for verizon sometime this month (as the rumors were saying march 23), however once I saw those videos on youtube about this marvelous EVO, ... I really don't know what to want anymore! I am currently on T-Mobile now, contract is up on April 14th, (like 3 weeks pretty much) and my plan was to terminate service with t-mobile and hop onto verizon (cuz their coverage is better where I am) and get a lovely Nexus One with them through google. But, if the Nexus One still aint out on verizon by april 14th, I was then just gonna renew my contract and get a Nexus One and stay on T-mobile with 3G (i get good T-Mobile service where I am too. Has never let me down before). OR... I can now just stay on T-Mobile till this bad boy EVO comes out, and then hop carries and join the sprint bandwagon, and get a "everything data" plan with me and three of my phone buddies, so that way divided cost for all of us is $42.50 for unlimited everything basically (which is one HELL OF A DEAL I.M.O.) but the only thing I am not sure of about that option is sprints service for me. I've never used a phone with sprint service, and I don't know how great it is in my area. Plus I travel on the road a lot with my band, and when im out in the middle of no where, I wanna be able to depend on my carrier to provide me with communication to the world. In the past so far I've had T-Mobile and traveled on the road, Its been generally pretty good. I don't have 3G, im just on their edge service. But when I travel with my band, my bass player has verizon and where I have 1 or 2 bars with T-Mo Edge, he has 5 bars on verizon 3G. I just wanna make sure If I make this jump and sign my mobile life away for 2 years to sprint, if they can provide the same if not better service and coverage i have now on their 3G with a htc evo. I have asked some people who I know personally who live by who have sprint if they like it, and what their reception is like, and so far 2 people have said they loved it and had no problems with them at all, and one person said it wasnt too great for him and had lots of dropped calls, and sketchy reception here and there throughout town, which is something I (nor anyone for the subject matter) wants in a cell phone. I love the Nexus One, and I've wanted it for a long time, I love how unlocked and free it is, and its slim sleek design. But this phone calls my attention quite a lot too... the 4.3" screen, kickstand, 8mp camera, front 1.3 camera.. droid 2.1 now too... i just dont know. Another thing for me is the htc senseUI. I fiddled around with it on the "Droid Eris" phone for Verizon, and I didnt really like it to say the least. It made the phone seem very laggy, and slow to response of the navigation through the device. Hopefully it won't be this way on the EVO, and being that it is htc's baby, and not google's, will the future android updates come quick and sufficient? Or will they be weeks behind? For example the moto droid and htc hero; droid 2.1 has been out for sometime now but how long did it take for the moto droid to get it since the update was released? (if it even did yet, I dont own one, so I am not sure, I just heard it took awhile) and i also heard for the htc hero its not running 2.1, but again i don't own one nor am exposed to one on a daily basis, so do correct me if im wrong about those).
Well, I think my rambling has come to an end; shall it be Nexus One on T-Mobile, or Verizon, or shall it be the htc Evo on sprint? All 3G networks for each (i guess 4G for sprint lolz.. [depending if it will be available in N.M.])... so what do you guys think!!! lemme know
Much thanks in advance for your future replies!
