I can definitely see the internet advertising blowing up once they announce the release date, people can click the link, etc.. Major TV promotion on a phone not out yet? I don't doubt that but would that be a first? I can't recall seeing a phone not released for a few months being advertised on say CBS or something??

i've thought it for a while that probably your leaks are being orchestrated by a marketing puppetmaster from sprint to fan the hype. and i approve :D i don't mind getting blueballed a bit as long as ya don't pass out before delivering.

You guys are making me anxious!!! :confused: but thats a good thing especially since I haven't had anything to be anxious about from a sprint product since I got my fusic years ago... lol

lol Actually up to my Thread update post is what's gonna stay put since anything before that was taken care of. So the 3000 post is the 3000 post. Overall 6 pages of posts were merged, copied and moved. :eek:

It's ok. You're gonna have an EVO in your hand whether some people get it earlier, cheaper, free whatever before you. In time, it will be a non issue when you're enjoying your device and you'll be back on these forums on your EVO reading about the EVO2.

This is my home setup, although the systems been upgraded since then, on one pc its this AF, on the other its the other AF and on the laptops its my website etc. You figure I would lose weight by running between each pc, but Nooooooo, it just doesn't happen. lol

I mentioned it before, but Jackson must actually be Dan Hesse's right-handed man, that, or his brother's kid or something =P.

Why else would he keep referring to his friend as 'Dan'? It's a cruel, cruel joke which he leverages on us.

:) very possible, but like i said I don't mind one bit. It means we are likely getting the information FIRST before anyone that's not an insider. It's a viral marketing concept...think about how many people we have told about EVO, each of us? I've probably talked with about 20 people who are friends/family/strangers about EVO telling what it does and why it's awesome. Multiply that by all of us here who are geeks who are here and that publicity is free, baby, all it costs is a few posts a day by someone who was annointed by Sprint to be the nerd messiah :D

keep refreshing if it doesn't come up at first. it cycles through a whole bunch... on the top and on the side of the video review in the article... i was confused @ first too, when i saw an ad for TMO or something lol

And yes, that add is ridic!
 
On sprints event page on facebook it says:

"America’s first 4G Android™ phone will be coming out in a bit."

Now, why doesn't it say this summer 2010 or something like that which is everywhere else???
 
LOL Wow now that would be excellent viral marketing...Sprint appointing folks to be "inside sources" on different forums to spit out rumors and leaks about the EVO. Yeah it's far fetched but it would be a pretty new way to spread the word about something is directly getting in the middle of all the buzz...sort of why so many companies are on Twitter now

Now, why doesn't it say the same "Summer 2010" like it is everywhere else???

not far fetched at all, using people to plant rumors is been around a while. you just never can prove it
