I highly doubt the Evo will outsell the new iPhone. There's way too many Apple fans that will buy anything Apple. Now, it seems like who spends the most on advertising wins.

Wow.. like, in all three places they have 3G?

Seriously though, if TMobile coverage works out for you in your location, that's great. But their coverage in comparison to Verizon or Sprint is laughable. At least that's how it works out for me.

All you are doing by making comments like that is making yourself look foolish. The responsibility of being a mod is not just to keep a thread on topic but to keep it civil. There has been a few posts about an email. Get over it... As far as your personal issues with Jackson, once again, who cares. Don't start calling people out...
There is a lot of useful information in this thread, but unfortunately people can't keep it civil. I'm sure the demographic of people on here is vast but that shouldn't be an excuse for everyone to act like children.
Mods are not babysitters. They shouldn't have to keep cleaning this damn thread.
If I were a mod on this forum this shitshow would have been locked down for good until the 12th. You guys have it easy here as far as the mod team goes. Don't take advantage of it. "give an inch, take a mile"

I'll take that bet. I'd love to be wrong - but I don't see it happening. The 3G sold 3 million units in its 1st month...that's insane.
 
Hey guys.. A while back someone posted a list of things to do before the evo comes out... On that list was a link to an android app site.. I can't find that post.. I've tried searching... anyone hve a link to that post... THANKS!

It was a guess, and still may turn out. Secondly, I really do not care. You are only here to pump your own ego. The only reason you hang around is so you can claim out great you are. Everything you post, you get from the internet. If we are not allow to challenge your statements, the mods have said so, then you should not be able to post them. If this gets me ban that is ok, the site has turn out to be really childish. Sorry jackson, your original prediction was on the internet 2 weeks before you posted it. Ready for my ban now.

It was also the only phone of it's kind at the time. very fancy compared to anything else. While i agree some will stay with Iphone.. the competition is on now :)

I'll take a piece of that action any day. Anyone who thinks the EVO will outsell the iphone is delusional. Not to mention that the overwhelming majority of people will take one look at the EVO and say, "Ewww, that is way too big."
 
I would love to see the EVO sell for more than the iphone, but barring a huge catastrophe happening to Apple, there's no chance in hell.

Hey, maybe they'll mistakingly hire the creepy palm lady and everyone will be turned off by it! :P

The important thing is that the EVO be successful in it's own way, which I'm certain it will be.

I just can't see a world where the EVO outsells the iPhone HD/4G/XX in the first month. Apple has such a loyal following that Sprint does not even come close to having. Add to that Sprint's cruddy reputation that they're trying to overcome and they've got a long road ahead of them when it comes to outselling the iPhone.

I was actually refering to the IPHONE period that done as much as it could and it has taken a huge side of the market... but i think we will see alot of people move over to the dark side :) just my opinion..not an argument. I think it will be interesting for sure to see.

ok. Jackson said right after ctia that the evo will have a modded 2.1. So, please, find me an online article 2 weeks before march 23 that says "evo will come with modded 2.1." can you do that for me?

Apple could announce the new phone at WWDC and the date and do no other advertising and it would sell 1,000,000+ in the first month.

Sprint and clear have alot of debt. This build out is expensive

Care to guess how much? Debt is huge and market share is the game.

I bet the evo is outsold 1000 to 1. Why? Because it's a phone that is sold to a small market. That's it.

Please stop the bs email hype.
