I think I'm going crazy...I've watched the youtube videos on the evo at least a dozen times each, but I continue to watch them just to remind myself that the evo does exist...lol. Well, it's only 4 more days until a veritable cornucopia of information will be available.

Veritable Cornucopia!!
I love it.

Agreed Dylan! I just want to know what possible additional surprises Sprint has regarding the Evo for Wednesday?

Voice and data, video chat, and some cool software..

Nothing that we don't know or have heard here. But for the rest of the world it will be an oohh and ahhh moment

I don't! I want it to be successful enough to get support from the android market and third party accessory providers, but not so popular that everybody has one.

I dont want it to be that successful either but for a different reason.

In NY with how successful the iphone was att reputation went through hell since its networks could'nt handle the load. Until long after do not want the same issues with EVO 4G.

Anyone who is going to jump and say its 4G wont have that issue, NY is a big state, US is a big country

everyone just stop with this "if i win, you leave" crap. thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

now lets get back on topic, please. wednesday is 4 days away. cant we just have nice discussions until then?

The 12th will not bring the info that you guys are looking for..

I just want to beat the Ithing. I would like to be the only one with the phone, but and that is a big but, I want to walk down the street and talk about what apps I have on my EVO and my EVO is better than your EVO. LOL. Like people do with the Ibogy.

lmfao some of you are going to get a kick out of this.

im watching snl and one of the commercials is about selling your old cell phones. it went like this:

"think your old cell phone is useless?"
shows a guy using a PALM PRE!!!!! hahahahaahahahaaa
the whole episode is saying that you can sell your old, useless phone, and the whole time its video of people using pres!! hahaha

Yeah some sites are offering $50 for a Pre!! LOL I would just sell it on eBay for like $150 or more :)

FYI...
These quotes are from the transcript of Clearwire's 1Q conference call, but the comments address some of the questions re their plans that have come up on this board. The speaker is Bill Morrow, CEO.

Here's the first, with a comments on Clearwire's plan for 4g phones this year:

"Over the near-term, we expect to launch new and improved CLEAR Spot devices that connect up to eight WiFi-enabled devices
at any time, including the new Apple iPad and we're often asked about handsets and I'm pleased to announce that we will have
two new 4G WiMAX handsets by the end of this year. We're working with Samsung on an Android-based device optimized for
heavy video communications that leverage high-capacity, low latency, high-speed characteristic of our network. In addition,

we're working with HTC on a second 3G/4G WiFi-enabled phone."

Here's another regarding the plans for roll out of Wimax this year, and it seems to indicate NY won't be lit up until late in the year (don't shoot the messenger!):

"Over the course of 2010, the Company has and will be expanding our 4G mobile broadband network services in three main
tranches. The first was over the past few weeks, which included Houston, Harrisburg, Redding, Lancaster, and York. The second
tranche will be this summer and will include 19 additional cities. And finally the third tranche will be later in the year and will
include New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Denver, Minneapolis, the San Francisco Bay area, Miami, Cinncinatti, Cleveland and

Pittsburgh, among others."

At least they are not showing the Evo!!! :)

I wouldn't even try to predict which phone will sell the most...my concern is there won't be enough EVO's to go around. That's why I hope I can snag one (or two) on day 1. I hope HTC has made a ton of them.

I don't know if it means anything, but T-Mo doesn't seem to be able to keep HD2's in stock. Every location I've stopped at is out of stock and has a waiting list. So people seem to be attracted to the size, even in a WinMo flavor.

I hope HTC production can keep the EVOs a coming.

Thanks for posting that.

The Instinct was not that bad, and not that good. It just needed a different marketing strategy. They should of called it the step child to the Iphoney, may not look as good, be as fast, has the most anything, but we still love it for it is ours.

lol.. my girlfriend cussed me out for getting it for her!! so i would say... yeah it was bad :D

then why are you here? Judging from this post, you clearly aren't pro-evo.

You judge wrong. I am pro EVO. Can't wait to get a 4G Android phone on a cheap plan. But I'm not an irrational, delusional, brain washed, fanboy on any platform. I teach at a college where we have students from all across America. It is either the iPhone or Verizon phones for them. One student has a HD2 and he constantly gets ridiculed because of the size of his phone every time he uses it. Some are posting their opinion that the EVO will outsell the iPhone, and that's fine. I'm posting that I think there is a better chance that the Easter bunny, Santa Clause, and the tooth fairy are all real. By the way, you'll get no argument from me that the EVO is the better phone as compared to the iPhone. :)

Sorry Jackson, you've posted some good information before, but by repeatedly saying that the EVO will outsell everything, you are either being way too much of a fanboy, or you are trolling, whether intended or not.

Let's not even take into account the content of the comment itself, but by consistently commenting with words that only serve to instigate negative responses from a significant portion of the forum members here, you are being a troll.

You're entitled to your opinion and it's fine, but can you please stop trying to re-affirm it over and over? It's only leading to an (even more) negative down spiral of this thread.

To give an exaggerated example, this would be like me saying "God doesn't exist" or "God does exist". Many people have different opinions and viewpoints, which they are entitled to, and for me to state either opinion as fact would only cause a flood of negativity and controversy.

I admit that I would have waited to get a new phone and switch providers to get the EVO, but there is no way I could. Sprint has no love for us out in the middle of nowhere. My grandparents who use Sprint get absolutely no signal here, analog or digital. Its all fine for those of you that live in big-ass cities. The same for crappy AT&T, they have a roaming agreement with a regional provider I believe - at least they have that.

Only places we got here: Viaero (small regional gsm), Verizon (used to be Alltel...), and US Cellular. Then there are the prepaid options at stores - Tracfone, and Simple Wireless.

Instead of holding out for what will never happen I upgraded my Alltel phone to a Droid Incredible. Would have been an EVO, but as I said other companies do not like us out here.
