I remember when we could get past page 165 because you had to keep coming in to delete stuff...we'd get to 165 and get dropped back down to like 162

Keep in mind that the Evo (unboxed) has HTC Sense on it whereas the G1 (unboxed) did not, only AOSP.

Personally I think the 30min appt is RIDICULOUS! I mean seriously...who are the majority of people that have ordered this phone?! I'm not saying everyone knows Android, but for the majority of people whether they know it or not would rather learn it on their own without someone over their shoulder. At this point without the phone being advertised to the "general public", mostly people who are already internet/tech savvy to some point can probably have their phone up and running in no time at all...this is my opinion only!
It's great if they offer a "tutorial" appt to those who would like a quick overview or what not, but I really just want me time with my new Evo and not someone else goobering it up LOL
EDIT: Maybe they are allotting for system lag, account issues, and the such...not so much "teaching" use of the phone!

Doesn't that only apply to using voice and 4g/wifi? Are you connected on 3g? I don't believe simultaneous data/voice on 3g will ever work on CDMA.Has anyone had any problems talking and using data with the evo?
I'm sorry, if I can't find a brick in mortar to put on the screen protector, it looks like i will have to go back to zagg. I'm not going through the hassle. I would rather learn how to root a phone than put on a screen protector.
Is it just me, or is anyone else's work productivity decreased in the last few weeks? I should have just taken these last few weeks off.![]()
I'm feeling pretty great about EVO's Premium Data plan now that I have seen the article on Endgadget about AT&T's new data plan rates.
I didn't realize they already paid $30 for a fair use "unlimited" smartphone data plan. They will now have the option to instead pay $15/month for a 200MB cap or $25/month for a 2GB cap (exceeding the caps will result in addtional charges).
As for tethering a device - "Tethering will be offered as an add-on to the DataPro plan for an additional $20 per month, which means you'll pay a total of $45 a month for 2GB of data shared between your phone and your tethered devices."
Sprint's looks to be a big winner again!
Has anyone else confirmed their BB will be giving these Plantronics earpiece away? IS there any documented proof this is going down? I just wanted something to show my BB on friday when they claim ignorance.

Oh well...hope the Sprint store has them, so I can use my 25% Premiere discount.I found this deal on the web that is good until Midnight EDT today for a 16GB SanDisk Micro SD card for $25.98 after shipping. Don't know the dealer, but at least the card is a well-recognized brand.

Just found out it's a Class 2, so if you're going to be recording video, it may not be the best.
This is true. I might have to do a FBI search on it.wasn't there some kind of bet back then about how many pages we'd be at when the EVO came out?
No shit. It was like just yesterday it was at only 30 pages. In fact it was yesterday. While you were sleeping!

STOP IT. STOP DOING THAT. Its bad enough the anticipation but to be reminded of it, aarrgghh.one day, twenty three hours, and forty minutes![]()
) and I haven't had any problems recording video with it, and trust me I record tons of videos.Or they could be using the time to give you a PR talk on how fortunate you are and how othere who have not got the phone will be so jealous ... Seriously, though, I think 1/2 hour might not be sufficient time. A few months ago, I bought a new phone for my wife and the Sprint (oops, I meant $print) rep took longer than 1/2 hour to get the account set up. With all the stuff he had to type and all the questions he would answer other people while walking from one end of the store to the other.
Just because they are alloting 30 minutes between appointments doesn't mean every apointment is going to last 30 minutes. Each appointment will be different. Some customers will be new to Sprint, new to Android, even new to smartphones. These people will use much more of the 30 minutes than someone who's already with Sprint and who's last phone was an Android smartphone. I think they're building in an appointment "safety factor" figuring the absoute most any one customer would need is 30 minutes.
I would guess some of you will be in & out in 10 minutes or less.
You know, I was just thinking if Sprint had just folded the $10 EVO fee into the "everything" plans, I don't think anybody would have said anything. They would have just figured that was the price thay had to pay to have the best smartphone that Sprint had to offer.
Patiently/Impatiently waiting for the release of the EVO 4G.
