I would believe you would have a better chance at taking your time and watching a YouTube vid then have a Best Buy rep that is probably looking to get you outta there, rush through it. I've mentioned this a few posts earlier, my friend decided to go ahead ad buy the Zagg skin and have the BB people install it, first of all it didn't sit completely right and lastly, because they rushed it and he didn't let it dry not did they warn him about it and it began to peel sooner than I recall mine ever doing so. My $0.02

Edit**** as to not double post... A thought occurred to me, now I'm sure the rest of you have already thought of this and I was going to share this yesterday; however work and kids and school got in the way and well here it goes... For those of us buy our EVO (God Device) from BB we shouldn't have to be forced to purchase any accessories from there. I called to my local sprint store to confirm a 25% discount we are entitled to for being premiere customers... in other words, it's the Sprint store for me. Hey, I'm buy the accessories anyways... might as well get a discount!

Okay, since you are calling me out, unless I can find a brick and mortar with a good one, I will buy one of the ones recommended on here. Best Buy offered to have the zagg on for me already when I showed up, but I told them no thanks, for the reasons you mentioned. However, the guys at the kiosk at the mall are usually pretty good.

And good point about the sprint store. I will go there after I pick up my phone. It is right around the corner - so is rs.
 
And here I thought EVP was going to be shipping ot a couple days early. I want my EVO. Is anyone getting the car dock? I want a car dock that will hold the phone with my case on it. Anyone know if this would be good or should I just get the Sprint one which supposably charges the phone and automatically opens the car home thing. I can't decide. My seidio case and protectors will be here tomorrow. And then I have Calrivue portectors coming also.

Okay just to confirm- I just talked to the guys at Sams who have my Evo- they are saying that sprint is pushing really hard for the 30 minute walk thru; but you CAN opt out. I thought you could if not I was going to fake an important meeting at 9:07

LOL... not callin you out.... just don't want to see anyone in the community to feel the cold shoulder of buyers remorse a week later when your skin is tuning color and the tackiness is too much to deal with... But please do what you're gut tells you... I only offer my experience and suggestions... :)
 
Okay, I'm at Panera bread and they have the stupid 30 min lunch time rule -actually good for them - and I just remembered that wmwwifi router set up. Now I am back on the net using it. Does android have anything like it, that we could use?

RadioShack opening early for Evo 4G launch, extra savings for preorders

"The electronics retailer said on Wednesday that will open its doors as early as 6 a.m. at some of its retail locations to help preorder customers activate and set up their phones. In addition, if you arrive early, RadioShack will give you an additional 15 percent discount on accessories on top of the $20 accessory credit when you preordered the phone. "
 
Not to stir the pot any, but my Best Buy here in Denver just set up my appointment for TOMORROW at 8AM. A day early?
 
Just called BB again. I got a much more knowledgable rep this time. I had him check my account to make sure no past due balance ( can't use $150 off with upgrade with a past due balance FYI). Everything was good.

Rep says "we got them in today I remember putting a post-it with your name on one". Made my day. Mine is waiting for me as we speek. Said they start calling to setting up appointments tomorrow. He also said I MUST have it activated in store. Said only accessories is a charger. But would be getting more on Friday. Upgrade fee of $18 goes on my next bill. No activation fee for me. Said total was $212.99 with tax (OH). My giftcard was taxed $3.26 so I'll be paying $159.73 in store. The wait is pretty much over finally.

My rep originally said it was 10% last week, but 15 is even better. Already planning on getting a holster....dont really need much else.

Using my $50 BB preorder card for the Hdmi dock whenever they get it.

Sorry, I think it happened because I did a cut & paste from another window. I don't think it showed up as smaller text until after it is submitted, so it must have some hidden formatting characters embedded.
 
Stupid question? What makes you a premiere customer? I am switching to sprint with a 25% ups discount. Am I premmiere??

Oh one other thing; anyone know where I can actually play with a LIVE sprint evo? I've called most of the stores but they are worse than the military! I had one guy ask what the evo was lol

Call to find out who the Evo ambassador is and find out what that person's schedule is. They're there to show off the Evo.

I called my sprint store and they said that there are no ambassadors period. Hoping they are wrong.
Has anyone seen an ambassador??

Really, in previous pages of the thread, many people have made mention of encountering them, but some of the ambassadors apparently got in trouble for letting customers play with the phone, which may be why they are reluctant to talk to you about it. Their primary function is to familiarize themselves with the phone so they can demo it after it is released.:(
 
just came back from my bestbuy in NY and the lady had them in the locker. When I asked if they had them she was hesitant in a cute way and then said YES we have them, so I asked if she would show me it and she did...even took it out of the plastic and let me hold it etc... I popped the battery cover out and even pulled out the SD card which is an 8gb class 2 card. It's a pain in the ass to get out of the slot I will tell you that!! She wasn't supposed to show me the phone or even do what she did but she was like "I'm the only one here so its cool" LOL... I wasn't able to put the battery in but that's ok!! The phones AWESOME, there's no other way to put it!!! Everyone and there deaf aunt Rita is going to LOVE this phone!!!
