errr of all the days..I get my paycheck delivered in the mail and its not here!! That means I won't get it till Monday..wondering if I should wait to pick up the evos...probably not

Yea, I would be dumbfounded if for some reason the EVO stored contacts on the SD card. That would make no sense....and making swapping cards unuseable if you had to store contacts twice.

Contacts should be on the internal memory....and as long as you have them placed in a Gmail account, you should never lose them either.
 
Yesterday I posted my EVO 4G Review which has quite a few screen shots and esone|| asked if I would post a "How To" on installing the Android SDK, because that has a screen shot utility. A few minutes ago in the Tips & Tricks section, I did just that and posted How to Install the Android SDK. There are other tutorials around, but this one is more of a SDK for Dummies. At least it made me feel like a dummy for a couple of days until I finally got it working.

Hopefully, following my step-by-step instructions will make it easier for you.
 
I randomly called BB about the free headset and they confirmed so thats nice.
The lady was very nice on the phone she said she'd set aside a non-purple case for me.
I asked about screen protectors, only the Zagg is available. She also asked if i wanted them to pre-install the Zagg for me??? for free...meaning the install would be free. I declined. I've never used/seen/owned/installed one.
Did I make the right choice?
i might still buy it, she said a demo will be wearing it at the store. I just don't want somebody playing with it a day early.

My Best Buy is offering the same thing, but they are charging to install the screen protector. Altogether, it was like $25. I got a different type at a kiosk for my wife's for $8, and it works well, so I am not sure I want to pony up for s screen protector that may not work with some cases
 
At BB we'll need to pay an activation fee on top of our phone's purchase price, right? Even if we're just upgrading? Forgive the blasphemy I'm about to spew out, but what happens if we decide to return the phone within the first 30 days? I'm assuming the activation fee goes bye bye, but are there other fees that we'll need to pay on top of that? Thanks in advance!

I call Shenanigans! Come on! First and only post is this!?!?!? Either the manager lied to you or he is really dumb. The only other thing might be that you need to move to Middle Earth with the hobbits and elves and all of the other TROLLS! :D
 
I just called my BB and I asked the guy about my Sprint activation charge and all that and they have nothing to do with it... I know the guy and he is competent so I trust what he says... the best part of that conversation is that he will have a live one for me to play around with in an hour... I get off in an hour and will see him in 2... a tease I know but I gotta do it... For those of you that will be buy accessories from BB... they will have package deals on accessories. If you buy the car charger + Zagg skin + body glove case = $50.... he didn't have other prices so.... Tomorrow guys Woot!

Although this thread is suppose to go the way of the DoDo tomorrow, I just might leave it up over the weekend, since I too will be playing with my EVO (damn that sounds dirty) lol anyway.
As for the new thread, I'll take suggestions as to what to call it.

njf520 you are so lucky that this is the kind of place you dont get flamed for questions like that when you obviously didnt look around enough. That being said there are going to be accessories available at Sprint, BB, and RS. There is also a sub-forum just for accessories that might help you out :)

Yes they will be carrying carrying screen protectors. I don't know anything more specific past that.
 
Hey guys I think we need an app subforum. I have a ton of questions about apps coming from the iphone- and I would imagine many others do.
Until then; why does the facebook app on android suck so much monkey meat?

Some of us are hyperventilating, some of us are in psych ward at our local hospital after having fits with RS/BB/EVP. and some of us are just quietly and patiently waiting for tomorrow to pick up the EVO and scream out like girl scouts meeting Smokey the Bear for the first time. lol
