I wouldn't put too much stock on if the employees have gotten training on the SGN, the other night I went into my local VZW store to play with the Rezound and that was the first time the salesman saw or read anything about it. He got all giddy when he saw it has a 1.5 GHz dual core.

So eventhough the phone was on display in the store this guy works at, he had zero knowledge of it....hence obviously zero training on it as well.

I think the only Corporate store is on Hwy 153 between Hixson Pike and Walmart. There are a ton of retailers though. Do you know of another corpaorate store? Maybe the Gunbarrel store is too.... Hmmm...
We could Occupy Verizon this weekend for the release of the Nexus.... Are you in? :p
 
For the record,I am off from work Monday and Tuesday.I have cash and rebate card in hand and ready to hit the store Monday at 10:00am.With my luck they will have nothing.Tuesday will have me doing the exact same thing.

Loved the information on the video, very useful. However, for all those perfect 20/20 visioned people out there.... watch this video and you'll understand what I see without contacts or glasses. For the love of God focus, please.

Thats kinda a misnomer, it wasn't that they couldn't produce enough screens for the Dinc. it was that they didn't have a contract with Samsung for the screens and Samsung was using their production capacity to produce screens for their OWN phones...

Considering the confirmed corporate RAZR politics in the podcast yesterday. Monday online does make a lot of sense. Keep the GN out of the store until after BF to sell as many as possible next week. Release the GN online for the diehards to buy. Everyone is happy and everyone's sales look good. Plus, nothing to ship to stores by Monday if you begin the sales on online.

No matter the source, this still presents production problems for HTC, which would be out of Verizon's control.

Yep, that sums up my experiences at corporate stores as well. I remember being told once that using wifi would count against my data usage so I opted to get unlimited just to be safe. I'm glad I did or I might not have my unlimited plan today.

I don't even bother asking them questions anymore...
 
Why can't i stop looking at this thread? My wife is giving me that stare again. I told her I would stop after I bought the rezound.

I'm just trying to cycle the battery on the rezound by refreshing web pages!

I think stores would have the nexus by tomorrow afternoon if they were to sell them Monday. Hopefully a lot of leaks tonight and tomorrow.

The rezound battery is great. Heavy usage and lasts all day.
 
I called a couple of local corporate VZW stores that I'm familiar with and neither of them have GNex phones. One guy I know also mentioned that they would have phones by now for a Monday release and would likely have heard about it days ago. That's somewhat disheartening despite our sources.

It's looking more and more to me like an 11/21 release would have to be web only at this point...
 
Arrgh! If it's released Monday, I'll have to wait.. driving to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Hrm.. preorder for delivery to my office or try to pick it up in Chicago..

As far as the reps not getting training yet, my sister has told me in the past that they sometimes have a problem because they send out training materials (it's usually a video of the bullet points regarding the phones, etc.), and the managers don't pass them down to the employees because either they forget or because there are so many materials the managers have to go through that they start making their own priorities and set them aside.

Especially since store reps almost never know the release dates until the demo phones are actually in hand, or until they receive large stock of the new phone, they tend to put off training because they don't know when they'll need it.

I don't have any problem with some stores getting training and others not. Verizon isn't the most well oiled machine at the individual store level.
 
I will be pissed if it's in store only on black friday. Every year me and my family go to the mountains to get our Christmas tree and spend the night at our cabin for the night. Monday better be the ordering time with overnight delivery.

Woah, that is kind of a big step. I thought Monday was just a rumor, and Steven apparently confirmed a Monday release...Hopefully this time Steven's sources are dead on.
 
the Gunbarrel store is corporate too. I thought there was another on one on Highway 58 also...
I've put in 2 calls to CSRs....one took my name and # ..the other gave me his and I texted him last night..nothing yet. Both from Gunbarrel
