Well, we know they do, for a fact. The VZ guy as posted in here.

I'll say this... the other forums? Android Central, for one? They fight a lot more there. Huh.. .not very friendly. I like it here. I guess that's why I stayed here. Fun, friendly, informative, etc.

Well, it's my first post here. I have an iPhone now, but I was given an OG droid to mess around with. Had a lot of fun with custom ROMS and kernels, so now I'm hooked on Android. My contract is up, and I think this is the one I want. My question is, from what is speculated now, what would the release date for At&t be?

Very good thoughts. That could definitely be the situation that is going on here. Maybe only a few people at Google, Verizon and Samsung have actually SEEN the final version of the Nexus Prime. Maybe these other phones are just kinda place holders that are high spec'd development units that will never go to production and that's what Kellex has seen. Because he seems like he is a little unsure now, and maybe they'll "make a last minute swap" or whatever he said. If he is opening up to the possibility of a last minute change, then that means that he isn't positive of exactly what is going on anymore. The fact that he isn't certain shows me that anything can happen now. Anything could happen on Tuesday, and I think that if you pressed Kellex on the subject he would probably admit to that fact...ANYTHING could happen on Tuesday, and things might have changed in a big way or maybe were even meant to change from day one. Very interesting...

Allow me to be blunt Android Central SUX :)

They don't allow anything there. 85% of the people on this thread would have been banned and/or given infractions and I'm not kidding. Gapi can vouch for this as well

Android Forums has been fantastic and that's why this place is rockin it out.

Steven and the rest of the mod and admin team. Thank you for allowing us a place to discuss our passions. I for one understand it is not my right to be here but a privilege. Thank You!!
 
Not to interrupt the back patting lol but I have some more ramblings to throw out. In the teaser video, it said about something big was coming. Now they probably meant a generalization about ICS,but does it make any sense to say that then announce something that is less impressive spec wise to something that you already announced and are shipping? That doesn't make any sense at all to me. But I've been going back and forth so much on what is inside this phone that I think i'm getting dizzy.

Hey Bogie, welcome to the forum! I have no idea when or even if it'll come to AT&T. Verizon is getting it first, as we didn't get a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Speaking of which, you may well be delighted with the new SGS2 on AT&T. Very good dual-core CPU, plenty of RAM, and of course the excellent Super AMOLED+ screen.

Coming from you, this is an honor. Thank you. I know you were an admin somewhere. AC? You know how difficult all this can be. I'll tell you this... we have some really good mods here who are a great example to those of us who are newer. I really appreciate them all, too. And our guides are a hoot. They're fantastic. Of course the guide team hasn't been the same since I was promoted to mod, but hey.. how could it be? :p
 
Not sure if this has been discussed but if there is indeed no mircousb charging port, and instead we are to charge using the three contact pins would the only way to charge be in a dock (like the nexus and mytouch)? That would be easier in some cases but would really decrease portability. (much harder to carry the dock around than a tiny cable)

First let me say that neither I nor anyone else, here or anywhere else on the internet, who is not a Samsung employee, have any idea.

That said, I would look for it on other carriers in about 2 to three months after Verizon's initial exclusivity, but I can be totally off mark.

I would second this guess, early 2012.

On a side note, it's the mods that make the forum. AF = perfect blend of hard ass vs. let it ride vs. clean it up under the table and carry on. That's a TOUGH balance to achieve and this forum does it better than any I've encountered. And that's coming from a guy who's been doing the forum gig since the chat room days.

Yeah I was an admin on DF's they have asked me back but I need some time to think about it. As you already know its quite the responsibility lol.

Reported posts, merging, helping members, soft deleting posts, warnings, infractions and bans is quite a lot to handle. A lot goes on behind the scenes and its not easy so I salute you hahahaha
 
Just a thought...for all you stuck between the prime and vigor, Nexus devices historically retain their value better in case you ever want to sell to put money towards another phone in the future without a subsidized price.
 
What time frame in the past has Samsung released it's Galaxy or Nexus line of phones after they were announced?
 
I was all in for the Vigor just a month ago. Oh how times have changed. I'm sure it'll be a solid device but I wouldn't walk across the street for one at this point. I got some serious tunnel vision right now and it's leading straight to Nexusville. Don't pass go and pay $300.
 
I knew I recognized the Cereal Killer monikor when I stumbled in here. Couldn't quite put 2+2 together, all adds up now though. CK + AF = QP.
 
TUESDAY!! I usually change phones pretty often but if the nexus is released as rumored I think it would serve me well for years. Barring any TRULY revolutionary changes in the meantime

Pretty sure the Nexus S was released about 10 days after it was announced.


I didn't read through this whole thread, but I really hope the VZW "exclusive" is only as a subsidized phone and that I have the option to pay full retail for the GSM version immediately, otherwise, I will be quite peeved.

a quick google search brings this up from Sept. 30th, which i vaguely recall seeing somewhere before.

woops can't post the link since this is my first post in this forum but, it's the xda-forums link in the google results, check out the redit link in the first post

don't remember seeing this in the forum, but i've been lurking for awhile and may have lost track....anyway since P3 brought it up, maybe it is relavent again?
