Good post! :)

Way better than this.

In fact, don't even click this unless you have a sense of warped humor...

AndroidForums.com does not advocate doobies or twinkies, just comedy to relieve the stress. :D

Looks like Steve at 11:59pm telling us to behave and go to sleep.:)

How do you know that is the nexus and not the new sgs3? I mean it makes more sense it being the sgs3 since that will be sammy's real super phone just like the sgs2 was. Not to mention it makes sense they would unveil the new sgs3 then since the exynos chips rumored are said to start showing up in phones around that time.

You can't be serious my friend. A successor of a great phone in the same year? They will announce that next year like they always do. They'll have a quadcore then. And breakthrough technology of some sort and plus HD screen.

I think its likely we get something this week. Anything. I mean, all jokes aside, they wouldn't want another bionic to happen, right? Not saying an announcement, but something a bit more concrete.

I'm betting on FCC next week and Verizon announcement the following week. I think Verizon was going to make the announcement all a long. << sure would be nice ahh.:)

Sounds reasonable to me. Is it sad that I had no idea Columbus Day was Monday until it was mentioned in this thread?

Hmmmm....................if they did indeed hold off announcing the Prime due to SJ's death then i can not see how we will get any kind of announcement this week considering SJ's funeral will be Friday.

Looks like we wait until next week for the announcement...........

it is in january so that would be next year. not to mention just because they announce it doesn't mean it has to be available then. Clearly you must not be paying attention to how many phones sammy comes out with.

Wait. It is this coming Friday? I thought the funeral already happened.

Chief,
They still may release ICS at the event.
And there maybe some chatter about a new tablet as well.

Good thought about ICS. I could use that info, although tablet news wouldn't do a thing for me...

And Columbus "discovered America" centuries after the Vikings did. It should be Leif Ericsson Day. In fact, Columbus never actually found American soil. Viking settlements in the Northeast go WAY further back. My 0.02 :)

EDIT: DOGGONE IT! Daughter's car broke down and I have to go out there. Watch me miss post 5000. It figures...

Why do you think Verizon would announce it instead of Samsung. I mean Google might not announce it, since they could still break ICS to us, but it seems like samsung would be most likely to announce NP over Verizon.

Also how would Google announce and show off ICS without a device to display it? Bc I've heard a few people saying Google would show ICS this week and Verizon would follow up later with the NP.

Sorry if I'm not making any sense.

Edit: I guess Google could show and announce ICS on a tablet if not the NP

he meant verizon announce when it would be available to buy. I mean verizon does that for all the phones( minus the iphone) the manufacturers rarely announce the phones usually verizon is always there.

Yeah, I can care less about any tablet.
I will hold the 5000 spot for you, just forward the speech to me.;)

I'm on the road on my app. I'm going to pass on the 5 thousandth post. I did get the 3k one. I'm happy. :)

Thanks for the clarification. IMO I don't think Samsung would send out invites and then cancel only to have Verizon announce it later. I mean sure after Samsung announces it Verizon will give a release date and such. Plus Samsung said they would reschedule...

I agree unless there is 2 versions of the phone and then verizon announce theirs early and then at the other event samsung announce the gsm version for the other carriers? Most likely we won't see anything but we can hope anyway lol.

When this thread was on its first few pages I said that Samsung/Google would not announce the new flag ship phone for Verizon. It would be down right wrong if it was going to be an exclusive phone for Verizon.
Verizon is in charge , they will make the announcement.
^^^ JUST A GOOD LOGIC REASON^^^^

Please remember that according to our inside sources, 11/3 is now solid. They said that they were given a week's window on either side of that date, but regardless of the unboxing delay, they cemented 11/3 as the date.

they would never announce the SGSIII at CTIA this year and then release it next year lol.

Very true I never even thought about it this way. If it is a verizon exclusive for a month or so it would make sense that verizon announce it. I mean they could always use a slide show or the nexus s to show off ics. In the past did they always have an event and show off the new os on an unreleased device? I am just curious becuase I cannot remember. Also what IF samsung and google was going to annouce it tues and verizon decided they want to announce it and that had part of the reason they cancelled the event? I know verizon has a lot of pull but wondering if that had anything to do with it.
