Then I called the guy I always buy my phone from at vz corporate store and asked him, he said thats what they are saying all over the internet but its not true. I asked any chance of it coming out tomorrow? He answered "no, if it was releasing tomorrow we would know about it"

I feel like calling vz customer service and get a hold of a manager and just vent out.

Those sound perfectly in line with the responses I've got from multiple stores. That's their scripted response sent down from corporate. I'm guessing it's something like "Deny any rumors and offer to direct them to register for e-mail updates". It just sounds too word for word similar to be trusted. Especially when I've talked to at least 5 or 6 individuals who were confident it would be out tomorrow, and did not sound scripted or thrown off course in any way.
 
Looks like the most I can do is head there after work tomorrow and just hope for the best, assuming they've got anything there to begin with. Would be nice if my BJs had something other than a dummy unit on the floor to examine.
 
Called every story in the Wilkes Barre/Hazleton area of Pa and noone knows.. :( Wish my story was as bright as others. Luckily i get to live through you guys, haha. I still dont have high hopes but honestly, i dont think i will until i have the device in my house locked away from the public knowing noone can take my baby....

If they don't release a press release and it still looks like a soft launch with not all stores selling them, I doubt it will be online tonight. However, I suspect the usual 3rd party online retailers will have them by the end of the week.
 
havent seen anyone check in from southern california but just called the corporate store in carlsbad on marron rd

me:"are you selling the galaxy nexus tomorrow"
him:"i havent heard, its really stupid the way they are doing this, not sure if its verizon or google, if we are able to sell them tomorrow you will have to call back then"
me:"do you have them in stock"
him:"yea we have them in stock and read to go just cant sell them yet, we cant even show them to people"
me:"have YOU heard its going to be on sale tomorrow?"
him:"no i heard it was supposed to be last friday so i have no idea"

I'm glad I'm in the midwest and can just rely on you guys to let me know if you were able to get the phone tomorrow morning before I head over to get mine. I give up on calling (same know-nothing response every time) so I just figure if you guys get them then I'm leaving work for a bit to get mine. So make sure you hop on here ASAP tomorrow morning with info! :)
 
It's been said before, but Google must be livid right now. The phone has been on the market (outside of the US) for nearly a month and it was announced over fifty days ago!

Myriam Joire's comments on the last Engadget Mobile podcast were right on. They held off on the Galaxy SII for this and now they're just playing games with it. This phone is being pushed off for a phone that's being released in a new color! I am so frustrated.

Han don't even give him the "PR" it was in no way a press release. I could have gotten that response and I'm no longer in no capacity with the press.

I have PTO tomorrow from work and an appointment with my sales rep at my local VZW Corp store at 9am. My sales rep is actually off work tomorrow, but is coming in to work appointments...

I'm taking that to mean that they wouldn't come in on their off day if there wasn't a Nexus to sell me...
 
just called a retailer on airport rd in warwick....they are getting 2 in tomorrow the guys calling me back to see if he can put it on hold for me....
 
Since today Verizon announced that they "will definitely send a press release to announce availability." Tomorrow seems like a no-go right?
 
Blows that there's no online ordering today... I much prefer buying that way and not having to deal with the VZ employees in store... I Can just picture the hassle they're going to put up if I ask them not to open it/activate it....
 
I have a question about how discounts are applied in corporate stores vs resellers. Before this week I had a $30 "loyalty" discount to apply to my next phone. I also now supposedly have the $100 "3G to 4G" discount which is supposed to kick in as soon as a 4G phone is activated. Can these 2 discounts be combined, meaning I could leave a corporate store tomorrow with a $169 Nexus?

Would one or both of these discounts also get applied if I were to say buy the phone from Radio Shack or Best Buy?

The reason I ask is I'm going to shoot for a corporate store tomorrow morning, but in the event they are out of stock, I will be b-lining to a reseller.
