I just realized that now that this thread will be closing, there is no reason I need to constantly check the Internet, and therefor have no need for a smartphone. Looks like I won't be getting the Nexus after all....

just kidding of course. I'm so pumped!!!
 
I called my local not very friendly Verizon corp store just too see what they would say. The still says it's not official even after I told him It's officially on Verizon's twitter account. What an Elwood!!

I had to call a store for a friend. I asked if they expect to have availability issues with the nexus tomorrow. She said no, this isn't like an iphone. I wanted to slap her through the phone.

lol, same thing happened with me. i told her verizon had tweeted the official announcement a few minutes earlier, and the e-mail came through on her system as i was on the phone with her...

she moved up my upgrade date from 12/29 and also set it up so i can use my NE2 credit! then a few minutes later, the guy from the vzw store that i left my name/number with called me to let me know it's launching tomorrow and he's holding one for me...i can pick it up at 10am!

very excited!

Will do man but I was just looking over my schedule tomorrow and while I have the morning free I'm worried having the phone will distract me all day and I have an insanely busy day of holiday catering so I'm thinking I might just wait till 11pm tonight and order it online and get it on Friday . What's one more day, plus Friday thru Sunday I dont' have a whole lot of work so I can really dedicate time to my phone at the expense of time with my GF haha but hey she'll understand ... not haha
 
haha I just called the Best Buy by me to see if I can reserve the phone and the lady kept trying to tell me there is absolutley no way the phone is selling tomorrow and they have no stock. I told the lady that im looking at the announcement and she said I was wrong. I guess she doesnt want an easy sell.

2) same sized battery with charger.

Setting price issues aside, which do you think makes more sense? Of course it'd be nice to have a larger battery, but i like the idea of being able to charge two batteries at the same time, which means if i wanted i could always have access to a fully charged battery.

I'm thinking the same way you are. It's nice to always have a full size battery ready. I'm looking to get the dock and wondering if it has a place to charge that extra battery. That would be perfect!
 
Nooo! All the stores around me only open up at 10am and I have to be at work at 10!

I was hoping I could nab one before I had to head in.

The lady I spoke with did the same thing. I insisted she check the press releases and twitter. Put me on hold and came back and said "ok we will have them tomorrow." I said, "I will be there when you open."
 
Ever helpful downtown crossing (Boston) store confirms they're selling tomorrow (duh), but stated "we don't know what the stock will be."

I asked, "so you have them, but basically no one has counted them?"

"yeah."
