Weird, I still don't see an email from Verizon about the Nexus. They kept telling to me sign up to get the information quickly...
My email must not be working because I'm sure they've sent it by now.
HAHAHAHA I was just on *611 with a guy asking about billing to my account and said that I want to upgrade tomorrow. He was like tomorrow? Not today? And I said yeah I'm getting the Nexus tomorrow. And he goes ummm do you know something I don't know? And I told him about everything and he got mad that he didn't know yet because he is getting it too.
I'm happy but think this was rather uneventful

There are enough tools calling.. er I mean, you're not a tool, you just got caught up in the hype as I did. I have one (supposedly) on hold at a local RS but who knows at this point. Initially I called they said they had 2. Went in the next day to lick the box but wouldn't let me into the back cage. Said they only had 1. Hmm.... do I smell a rat? Bet the manager has one already activated.
Anyway, they've kind of taken the thrill of it down a few notches at least until we get our hands on it. I wonder if we'll love it for a week or so and then it will become just another phone, looking for the nexus... uh.. next big thing. Shoot me a pm when you get it Jim, we'll compare notes.
with the release upon us (surely, verizon can't mess this up...), i've got a question for the group. I'm certain I want to buy a battery, and from the accessories we've seen it looks like we have two options:
1) the bigger battery: 2150mah
2) same sized battery with charger.
Setting price issues aside, which do you think makes more sense? Of course it'd be nice to have a larger battery, but i like the idea of being able to charge two batteries at the same time, which means if i wanted i could always have access to a fully charged battery.
any thoughts?
I called my local not very friendly Verizon corp store just too see what they would say. still says it's not official even after I told him It's officially on Verizon's twitter account. What an Elwood!!
I find it funny/ridiculous that Verizon and every CSR was really pushing me to sign up for email updates on the galaxy nexus page so I can be the first to get information on the phone. I don't know about any of yall, but i have received no such email. Those Verizon execs still deserve a swift arrow to the knee.
