same thing I heard, except he basically admitted he wasn't allowed to say for some reason
 
Hmm... I called VZW and asked about upgrading both of my lines. One of which is eligible right now, the other on 1/2.

The gal on *611 said I could not upgrade the second one and that they cannot move upgrade dates under any circumstances.

Should I just do this at the local corp store?
 
Yes! Just called VZW customer service and got confirmed I can use the $100 discount code when ordering online and it should go through "just fine". She even notated it on my account in case I have any problems. Now I just have to wait until midnight since I am in CST zone. Whew!
I might not have phone in hand tomorrow but knowing it is mine is going to be a huge relief all the same.
 
I almost don't believe it - that's how crazy this ride has been. Well, I can't thank all the regulars (Han, BBs, Steven, Early, Antimony, and all the rest) enough for getting me and everyone else through this Verizon release. Man - I have to work all day tomorrow - I hope there will be a GNex for me at 5:30.

I hope to see some of you in the Lounge thread that BBs created. Plus, we'll probably be having some questions thrown out there, so tALL the other forum threads will become active again.

Just returned from Verizon, there is one sitting there with my name on it and ready to be picked up in the morning!!!
 
In Reno corp stores continue to say nothing, resellers and costco say tomorrow.

I got to finally handle the device(it was powered off) and while the build quality is not anything special, it is nice. The battery cover itself felt like its made from quality plastic and the frame around it felt very nice. The whole front of the phone is glass so that felt ok.. I cant feel the difference between any of the various manufactures glass.

Hope nothing goes wrong with tomorrows release as the 15th is my limit. Calculated by a 5 day shipping time from newegg as my contract ends on the 20th. I would like to keep my unlimited data even though I'm always on wifi. I only used 300mb last month so if I have to switch I will be ok. I am sick of this sh*t. If it doesn't go tomorrow I'm going back to what I used to do before the USA started to finally get decent phones 2 years ago.. import phones and re-up with ATT. Hell of a lot cheaper FWIW.

On a more positive note, I have preordered an egg foo young, and I have official confirmation from the chinese place by me it will be released in 15mins and I can go pick it up.

Did you just call the generic VZW number? Did they bump up your upgrade without having to order it for you over the phone? Like the moved your upgrade and said "Ok go ahead and order it online when it is on the website"?

My sister works at VZW and she says I can order online tonight at 1 AM EST and I'll have it in my hands on Friday.

Mine too! I hope they are still just carrying out their gag order, and that they actually do have units in stock :/

Gonna call back later tonight to make sure that I don't have to drive to next nearest city to get her
 
Son of a B! My authorized retailer in downtown Hartford put his submission in late, and won't get them until Friday! I have to wait until after work now to get my hands on this lovely beast!
