It's been fun, but I'm glad this time tomorrow I'll be out of my obsessive-compulsive stint with these forums. I'm not sure what the next tech gadget is that is going to consume me for several weeks, but I hope it doesn't come around for a few years.
 
I was just denied on the $100 off. Last I checked Detroit was in the midwest so I'm not sure how they go about granting this extra $100 off. I might order from somewhere else if I can get a discount.
 
When I go to buy online tonight through verizon, is it going to let me keep my unlimited data plan? I've heard people say it makes you choose a data plan rather then keeping what you have.

Ordering online would be your safest bet. Only takes 2 days usually.

I went into my local store and asked if I could set up an appointment to buy my Nexus tomorrow morning. I got a frowny face and a "did they release that or...." Another guy says yes and the first guy takes me to the counter. He says "this isn't a pre order" I told him I understood and said I just wanted to reserve a device. He insisted they would not sell out and more or less diverted scheduling an appointment only saying "come in in the morning". I asked if I could see a device and he said they didn't have them yet..... sounds like BS to me... so either I was lied to or they get UPS/FedEx shipments after 8pm or before 9am....

I then proceed to look around the store as my wife took my daughter to the bathroom. He comes up to me and says "The Galaxy Nexus, eh? You should check out the Razr, It's a better phone"....

I think I'm just going to order online tonight....

Called a month ago and VZW said they would sell me a phone at contract price but I would sacrifice my NE2. Also said I would probably have to deal with them as my local store may not honor it. Can they move the date up in the system itself so places like Amazon acknowledge it?

No Best Buy within four hours of my town.
 
Anyone else undecided on whether to buy it online or in-store? I can get to the store before it opens, however, I'm concerned that my corporate store will run out of stock in the morning and the online orders will have gone into back-order prior to store opening.....
 
Long time lurker. I may not say anything, but this "soap" has been so entertaining for me. You guys are so fun!
I'm a stay at home 42 year old dad and I've been hitting f5 for hours and days on end. Soooo excited for all of us to have our new gadget!!!
Everybody enjoy!! It's been a thrilling ride, and a great thing everyone did for Steve:) Well deserved!!!!
Time for me to catch up on dishes and laundry:o.

No corporate store in my area will entertain the thought of appointments. First come, first served.

I got an appt at mine, and its always busy...for what its worth.

Don't think it's on Amazon yet. I have 15 days until my NE2 date, so I was assuming they would have it by then. They had the Rezound for $220, so I'm thinking it may be less than Verizon's price even with my $50 NE2.

If you have unlimited now there should be no reason you don't have unlimited after.

I feel the same way... but on my way to the store tonight after reading this thread I also thought the store was going to be packed with nexus freaks wanting to make appointments and see the phone.... there was 1 other guy there trying to get his flip phone fixed...
