BTW, I guess I am going to have to shave and get a hair cut. Will try to get before and after pics a bit later :) Probably in the BB gnex lounge
 
To answer a previous poster's question, yes, LetsTalk is doing the double data promo right now. AND the Nexus isn't on their site, yet.

And be aware that you are signing two contracts...one with Verizon (the standard 2-year agreement) and another with the 3rd party (LetsTalk) stating if you cancel your contract early, you also pay THEM an ETF in addition to the one you would pay Verizon. Just a heads up!
 
So... the second trip was the same as the first. No one there, no sign of anyone to come. The streets of Cranberry are so peaceful this time of night. It's especially nice because at this moment it's warmer than it has been in a couple weeks. So even though it's still only around 45 degrees, it feels absolutely great outside. Looooove being a night owl.

I think I'll wait for around 6-6:30 for trip #3. At this pace, I don't see anyone even being there at that time, but I'd like to play it safe. Here's my first two trips:

Yea this is a bit annoying but not surprising as Swype is now in bed with the various oems. The nexus is not really on their radar as google has their own kb and wont preload swype onto the nexus. I am hoping a working build will show up early next year as more ics phones are released. I would expect it eventually as just because of the place of any nexus phone in the android community.

Until then I'm trying swiftkey x for the current 10c deal.

You can do it either way. I would recommend just transferring the upgrade however, because you will need to get a new sim card before you activate it on your line, unless you already have a microsim.

As I await for LetsTalk, imagine there's a horde at some dunkin donuts somewhere awaiting to rush in around 5:30 :p lol
 
Just a heads up for those getting the GNEX through amazon using an upgrade from another line, aka "swapping upgrades"

This is straight from Amazon policy:

"While carriers may offer the option to swap upgrades between different lines on the same family account, this option isn't available through AmazonWireless. Phones purchased from AmazonWireless must remain on the line upgraded for 181 days. If you move the device to an alternate line within the first 181 days, you'd be subject to additional charges by AmazonWireless of up to $250 (per phone), plus applicable taxes."

Was about to pull the trigger until I read this.

Haha, that's hilarious that you mention that. In my next picture, I'll be sure to get the Dunkin Donuts in the shot. It's directly across the street, lol.

Wow... I bet they make a lot of money with that little clause. Just solidifies my stance that you'd have to have a crazy good reason to order anywhere other than VZW online or the store itself. Most of the time, it's just not worth saving 50, 100 or even more because they'll get ya with little stipulations or longer wait times or a million other things. Unless VZW is straight up out of phones, I will be getting mine there promptly at 9AM. Thanks for the post! I'm sure a lot didn't know that, myself included!!
 
Night Owl Nexicans. I just looked online and my price shows $249.99 for the Nexus. Do you think that I will get the same pricing in-store?

I wonder if LetsTalk is the same way...I was planning on upgrading my secondary line through them, so I could save my last NE2 for my primary line later. I was going to activate it on the secondary line then move it over to my primary line. I will have to rethink my strategy now. :(

It sounds like no. That is a special online-only price. I was told this by a corp store myself and others have heard the same.

Same things here. Glad its not just me. I figured they banned my IP because I added the Nexus to my cart too many times in a row. :)

Done. Got it through LetsTalk for $225 (with Cali tax). Hopefully carrier approval goes through smoothly and they ship my Nexus out tomorrow :)
