Well, I am a proud owner of a new Galaxy Nexus! I have an extended battery! I have the el-cheapo Verizon screen cover (gonna get Steinheil) and the shiny black silicon cover. I also bought the battery charger. :)

The did not give me the 100 dollar discount at the store, but as the CSR guy told me two days ago, "just charge it to your account and we'll do it over the phone." They did.

Google's downloading my apps now, and is trying to load them onto my homescreen! :O Eh, gotta delete that.

Has anyone that has ordered online received a tracking number yet? I've never ordered online and I am wondering how long it takes get it.

I ordered 2 hours ago. "My status says: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at www.fedex.com" but I do not have a tracking number.

Now, I have A LOT OF WORK TO DO. I owe my company and family so much time. So glad I have vacation starting Sunday, until the 28th!!!!

when I got to the minnetonka store, I was 6 in line, about 10-12 people behind me at store opening. another dozen or so poured in within 30 minutes. I htink it's gonna do well.

man, what an amazing phone! It's one thing to drool over pix, vids, etc, it is an entirely different experinece to actually see it in action.

Now, If I only had a *&^%$ signal in my cube. no 3g, no 4g, barely 1x. no I can't hear you now verizion! Does anyone know of an app to report stuff like this to vzw? If not I might write the *&^%$ thing.

October 19th was a BIG day for me. I made my first post on page 262, post # 13053, at 3:17pm. And its been a heck of a ride.

I have learned more than I ever thought I would, not just about a phone but about people. How a bunch of strangers on the internet can band together and share in a love of something and from there form bonds of friendship. I know that I have made some great new friends and found out that I love Star Wars. I have figured out how to use photoshop due to popular demand for a new avatar every day in our wait for VZW to give us our golden ticket.

We have passed time with talk of everything under the sun while waiting for news. Our 3 most visible mods, Steven58, EarlyMon and OfTheDamned definitely deserve some huge kudos for keeping us in line. But I can’t leave out all the mods I know were working behind the scenes as well. Rob & Phases I’d kiss if I could because they have made this such a spectacular place. Our guides get a huge thanks too because I know you are the organizers and sentries of the thread.

And for all the people I’ve gotten to know, I truly will miss being in here all the time. The longest I have gone without checking the thread is the night of my Star Wars inauguration, and even that would NEVER have happened without you guys.

I look forward to seeing you all in various other threads along the way but this one will always hold a special place for me.


And of course a special thanks to Steven who truly leads by example in all things.

Merry Nexmas everyone!!!!

Oh my good golly gracious LORD this thing is amazing!!! Just got back from Best Buy. Unbelievable!! I am actually happy I never got to see it before I purchased it, because that makes the impact all the more crazy and special. I am so elated right now:D:D:D:D. I hope everyone else is getting their Nexmas presents ok as well! I will be formulating my farewell post for this thread soon, as I know it closes for good in less than one and a half hours, its been a real fun and exciting , wild ride with you all!
 
Wanted to get in my last post in this thread. I've been here since the DIncredible days and now almost 2 years later I'm here for this excellent phone. Even though I didn't post very much me along with others came here everyday for information. Most of us will be gone after we get our phone but in 1.5-2 years from now we'll be back for 2013's next great phone. See everyone later and thanks again!

What OS are you on: Windows, Mac, or Linux

and What method are you trying to do from the Root guide? 1, 2, or 3?
