well... i though my last post was my last post, but that post wasn't my last. this is my last post. :D

just wanted to say... GOT IT!!!

i felt uberly embarrassed getting to the store two hours ahead of time. absolutely no other customers showed up until five minutes before the stored opened. about ten or so folks pulled into the parking lot in that time span. :eek:

had no problems whatsoever switching out the rezound. was in and out in 15 mins. also gave a little wink to the vzw emp that gave me a heads up yesterday before it was announced.

enjoy your nexuses, nexi, nexis, or whatever you want to call it. thanks again mods and members.
 
I just got mine as well. It was a pain in the butt due to my "rent-a-razr but don't activate it until January so I can lock in the double data in case the promotion ends before the Nexus comes out" plan but two hours later we are good to go.

Thanks to everyone in this thread who kept me entertained and assured me that I wasn't the only one obsessed with this phone despite what all my family and friends suggested regularly. I hope you all enjoy your new toy as much as I know I will mine.

Its been a great ride. Thanks for all the entertainment, insight, and information. I also want to thank yall for sharing all the agony we have underwent these last few months. I ordered both myself and father one last night and I am anxious awaiting their arrival.

The first rep I spoke to about the discount actually took the time to note on my account that I was not eligible. From what the second rep said, the first wrote a good 3 or 4 sentences detailing exactly why I was not able to use this $100 discount.

Who does that? Clearly not most of your reps....

Ugh. At least I get my GNex.

Happened to me too, except the first one only wrote that the promo lasts until 12/31 instead of saying that I qualify. Then the next one came in saying I'm ineligible. :(
 
when i went to get mine the manager told me they had 7 people waiting @ the for them to open, i had 4 ahead of me on line and there was about 3-4 waiting to be helped to get a Nexus. one guy that was waiting after me was getting 3 for his family plan. good thing they did not advertise or we would have had a mass stamped to get these.

Enjoy your new phone everyone, now i hope i can get my transformer prime next week and i will be a happy camper.

I raced to the store only to find that they moved 2 days ago.:eek: I couldn't find them and had to call them for directions.
I got in line and waited. When I checked out, they would not let me have both my NE2 (30) and my corporate discount (50). I complained, nicely, and the manager finally said if I bought any accessory he would give me $15 off that and another $15 off my bill. So I got the extra battery with charger.
Now I have my new Galaxy Nexus!!!:D

My Verizon store employees morons. I walked in the morning along with 5 fellow geeks and they told us all they wouldn't be selling it today due to "a software problem". I said that was odd because litterally hundreds of stores across the country were selling them with no problems. After arguing with them for 10 minutes I finally convinced them to look into it further. After consulting their system they said "You are right, we can sell them".
 
Just a heads up, if you only have an "annual" upgrade and not a NE2, you can't get it from a 3rd party reseller. At least this is what I was told at radio shack when i tried to upgrade. Had something to do with being a one year upgrade or something. It still only cost me 299$+tax.
