CK, I would almost pull the trigger on the RAZR too. But those two things you mentioned are why I will go with the GNex. Knowing that if I needed to I can swap batteries or even do a battery pull. And I have never had a true nexus phone. I want to see what it is like to have immediate updates. I think I am going to miss the build and call quality of moto though. Congrats on your decision, it is not a bad one at all.
You will LOVE the Nexus. Enjoy it brutha!!

As an fYI a "battery pull" is done via Power and Volume key

I've got a question for y'all.

What are the chances that in less then two years this phone will turn into the slow, rebooting, can't even play a high quality video that my OG. droid has become..?

I'm not sure... My OG has a few glitches every now and then, and I can't remember if it's always been like this, or if I'm just getting more impatient :p

Was procrastinating (what else is new) and found this - I think no matter what phone any of us choose you'll have to agree that we are all lucky to be able to use them:

Or they figured no one would really sit down and figure out they're doing it illegally.

Verizon has a team of lawyers. If it was blatantly illegal, they likely wouldn't do it. It is more likely that one of the clauses is open to interpretation which its lawyers can argue in court.

Yeah just one more reason to get mad at Verizon. I am sure they have made appropriate political contributions to the necessary authorities (kind of like how certain people get certain numbered posts around here ;) to make sure their violation is never prosecuted, or better yet, have convinced them their actions are in the best interests of the consumer.

Was the touch sensitive bezel to bring up the soft keys a rumor that got debunked?
