Just maybe its not VZ but Google/Samsung
Google and Samsung continue to bungle the Galaxy Nexus launch
If the GNEX is delayed into Dec, I'll probably wait until Q1 or Q2 to see what is out there. My incredible isn't dying.

I would have loved to get a SGSII 2 months ago...but then I think about it, and I'm glad I held off. Just like I wish I would have held off for the Nexus S instead of going for the Vibrant on T-Mobile. Lack of software/update support from TMO, Touchwiz is not so great, bad GPS chips in the first wave of devices ignored with no fix in sight, never getting Gingerbread, carrier releases an updated model less than 6 months after and EOL's the Vibrant shortly after that, etc.
Don't get me wrong, the GSII is a very nice device. But if you don't want any of that crap, the Nexus is where it's at. And also, I would not be surprised if some of the US models get the cold shoulder from the carrier when it comes time for the ICS update (ahem, T-Mobile)
DroidLife just posted a holiday double data promo, 4GB for $30 for those of you that are not on the unlimited plan.
Verizon to Run
I don't buy that article. BMX, who works for Google, has said that it's in VZ's court.
Yes, and also CES will be early next year, with a new crop of phones to look forward to. This is really, really irritating.
I'm starting to feel some Bionic vibes over the seeming delays. Not a good sign.
Back in the Bionic thread someone asked me what was my cut-off date for waiting. I said Black Friday. When I said it, I thought for sure I'd never even get close to that date.
If we don't get a Verizon-official date for the Nexus release by Black Friday (yeah, that seems farfetched, but so did 11/7 without a release announcement), I'm strongly considering jumping ship to AT&T.
Yeah, I know, who cares, I'm a blip on Verizon's radar, even less than that, blah blah blah. I wouldn't do it as a statement. I'd do it for peace of mind, for an SGSII with LTE, and for a cheaper plan. I don't get near 2 GB of data a month, and just because I'm on 4G doesn't mean I'm going to be streaming movies like crazy. That's what I have my tv for.
So, that's it. If no announcement by Black Friday, I'm done.
Right. What a wonderful way to lull users into using more data, get them used to it, and then once the promotional period is over, nail them for using the same amount of data.

I have been reading this thread for over a month now, but I just received a bit of info from my cellular rep (he owns a company that resells for Verizon). I informed him of the recent rumors (Nov. 21st) so he called his Samsung Rep. (literally just got off the phone) and they stated it was in Verizon's internal testing and that date sounded about right. He also told me that I shouldn't look for it before the first week in December.
"Things like this always get pushed back. I've been in this business too long not to know." Which is over 25 years.

If I'm not mistaken a few thread ago someone reported that vz was waiting for Google. Not sure if it was a link or someone had a source!
What phone would you get on att there is no ics devices coming out anytime soon?
Well it sounds like it is a promo period to get the offer, but the data cap is permanent once you get it. Kind of like the $20 off data some people have.
Verizon is launching a sweet, if potentially dangerous, deal for all 4G LTE smartphone owners: for a limited time it will double your data cap.
The promotion begins on Tuesday, Nov. 8, just three days before Verizon begins selling its second dual-core 4G LTE smartphone, the Motorola Droid RAZR (pictured left). The carrier hasn't announced an end date for the promotion yet.
Current data plans on Verizon cost $30/month for 2GB; $50/month for 5GB; $80/month for 10GB; $20/month to use 2GB on a mobile hotspot. During the promotion period, for instance, you can get 4GB of data for $30/month, and so forth.
I don't think there was a link.
Probably the Skyrocket. I can probably be patient for a dev to come out with a stock ICS rom. I know, not the perfect option, but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!#!####
I am going back to a dumb phone so I don't have to EVER go through this again!!!!!
Ohhhhh, the Pantech Breakout looks like a nice alternative to the GNex!! NOT! !!!!
HELP I'M LOSING IT!!!!!![]()

Do you have lte in Chicago? I need to do an little more research on comparisons between original sgs2 and skyrocket thought I heard screen wasn't as nice on skyrocket?
Han, did your sister ever text you back?
Not to rile anyone up, and perhaps I am mis-reading this, but....
What do you think is the meaning of the third red bar in the screenshot-- which says "Samsung Nexus Nov. 28-Dec. 25"? In my mind, this raises a couple questions. One, what implications does this have for the date of availability for the Nexus? Two, would the "Double Data" promo be available for purchasers of the Nexus (or is the promo over Nov. 27)?
Apologies if I mis-read. Glad to be aboard.
