Still on my Nexus One (AT&T).. but i think its about time to upgrade. Just got my gal the SG S II and it is a very nice phone. So it depends on what is packed in the Nexus Prime tonight which will then make me decide the Prime or the S II.

Razr is at least REAL now and not a bunch of assumptions and guesses. Good and bad IMO of the Razr:

Good

1. Super amoled qHD
2. Great build
3. Thin design
4. Same chipset as the Nexus
5. Micro sd
6. Global
7. 4G

Bad

1. Webtop (for me, since a flash storage and ram hog- I will not use it).
2. Based on all of the extra stuff bolted on the firmware, and enterprise layer, ICS will probably be many months down the road.

So do you guys think leaked Nexus photo/spec this morning from Japan is fake or real? To me it looks like crappy photoshop with already leaked photos combined with BGR spec. I really hope Nexus is better than that.

I am pretty much in same boat deciding if ICS is as great as everybody says if not i may jump on sgs II. If it has some features i find interesting then i will either wait for an subsidized version of NP. I guess i could wait and see if google fufills their promise of having an ics device for every carrier by end of the year , but not really holding my breath on that one

I'm LMAO and thanking god I didn't buy that thing! Here they are announcing a phone like the Razr and haven't even fixed the 4g data problem in the Bionic yet...fail.

That is how they fixed it, Moto apparently made their own LTE chip, rather than use stock stuff ;) Bionic seems to be a an afterthought though.....

That IS cold

BTW, Mega CHEESE presentation and music.

Totally agree. I have to say, after literally taking chips of metal out of my OG Droid from abusing my phones so much, build is a very big deal for me. I'm still intrigued, but I really want stock vanilla android and I'm not a fan of rooting. So I will wait and see what Google/Sammy say tonight.

whew. distraction over.

Nice phone, though. No concrete announcement date because that's Verizon's treat.

But that motocast actually isn't that bad.

he said waiting to hear more from their partners around the world later. maybe ics on the razr?? he never mentioned the operating system and never showed the phone on the home screen did he? hymm

What do you mean same chipset as the Nexus? I'm thinking one is 4430 and the other is 4460.

I've been following this thread since the beginning, thought you would like to see this. The perspective and angle of the Japanese phone on the poster is incorrect so all I did was line up the buttons and port to get a size relationship. I'll leave the analyzing up to the experts, I'll just keep laughing my as... off. I've never posted a picture to this forum open works.

I have to admit: MotoCast would be awfully nice! Hard drives DO crash... and had it not been for my external HD backup, I would have lost crucial photos and documents. Everything in the cloud? Available anywhere? Count me in.

Come on, Samsung, you can beat these guys hands down tonight!

Another little tidbit. The benchmarks are actually really good if done at 720p. Lotta people obsess over this higher resolution, but to run 3D benchmarks at these higher resolutions WILL result in inferior numbers to similar speced phones that don't have such a high resolution.

One more reason I am not a huge fan of pentile.

The main question I have is are those benchmarks relevant to what a nexus phone user will experience???? Yes, if you did the same benchmark on half the pixels, it would be much better, but this phone doesn't have less pixels, it has more. Aren't the benchmarks supposed to give an accurate assessment of what you will experience as compared to the others??? Does that make sense????

The thing that stood out the most to me was the splash guard. I work outside and if it raining sometimes I forget to move my phone from my pocket to a water proof pocket in my jacket. So that may help to ease my worry a little bit. Other then that it would be a good back up plan.
