So what's a girl to do? It turns out that right now with Wirefly I could get a Dinc2 for an upgrade with zero dollars out of pocket, and so I did. Hearing so many of you talk about the Incredible had an effect on me, I guess. :) My new baby is on its way.

I'm sorry I won't be joining you for Nexus fun but I will be definitely checking in to see how things are going with your new babies, which you will have in hand very very soon.

Keep it cool and I can't wait to see pics of y'all with your Nexii!

haha that's funny that is the phone I have now (had the 1 the screen was messing up so they gave me the 2) and I'm upgrading to the galaxy nexus for 1 reason I'm a nerd and I HAVE to have it don't get me wrong the Dinc 2 is a great phone I just want the latest and greatest and something i can root since my Dinc cant be rooted on 2.3.4
 
Saw earlier chat about what it will take to negate following the course through on the sgn. Nothing for me I'm along for the ride indefinitely: )

I'm really enjoying the translucent spinning carousel of homescreens now on Sense 3 - I sure hope they up the game on homescreen animation in ICS to something more interesting than the flat 2D shuffle we've all seen. Compared to something visually interesting like the carousel, that's just so yesterday, in my opinion.

I agree somewhat ...maybe a temporary agreement :p

Eye candy rocks but at the end of the day I don't spend enough time swiping screens to watch it. I look at it as more of a novelty.

As much negativity as Sense gets, I've always liked it.

having driven both, I would not have been happy with that choice. the 09 as it turned out had some weird thing next to the left foot rest that made it uncomfortable to drive (lack of speed and luxury notwithstanding).

though I did preorder a next model year c5 vette once upon a time customized exactly as I wanted without ever driving one.

Yep, some people don't care for it, but after 5+ months I just like it more and more.

I don't know about the other guy but when I bought my E46 M3 8 years ago I didn't test drive. They build to order and based upon reviews and what was on the market I was good to go. The car turned out to be VERY prone to going into service but no test drive would have been able to indicate that.

Same thing with an SRT8 Jeep.

Same thing with this new nexus phone.
 
Yup the shell is sweet and runs well even on the Inc :thumbsup:

i dont know if this has been mentioned or not yet but how do we know that the w/o or "web only" refrenced in todays roadmap doesnt mean "week of" instead??

If I ever used a case it would have to be like not having a case at all like a nano skin....I go naked all the way around, always.

Edit: but I bet there will be one!
 
i think that if supply was going to be low for launch, they might figure by releasing it web only will help better manage their initial supply since only people specifically waiting on this device will order it that way and not the casual shoppers who wander in needing a new phone
 
Web only is cool with me, just wish it wasn't an even later date. Wonder what this means for Costco's leaked ad which showed it for $289 and what their release date will be... will we see it in Best Buy for Black Friday?

Might be on different channels... when the iPhone 4 was released on Verizon, Corporate stores and Best Buy (and online) had the phone a month or two before even indirect Verizon retailers had it.

Just some ramblings... (:
 
I've never been much of a case person either. I have a case on my fruit phone (made entirely of glass), but with my X I had a leather pouch that I kept it in perpetually. It was ugly, sure, but when I went to sell it, it didn't have a scratch, dent, or blemish of any kind. I'm kind of thinking something similar for the GN.
 
Ha.....remember the red-to-black case we all HAD to get for the Incredible??? Was great until it started to chip away.
So this morning we were singing the ode to the 17th, and I come back this evening to the dirge of the 21st???? I am not amused.
