FWIW, I just spoke to a friend who is a sales rep. (yes it took me that long to ask) but they said he received training on the nexus last night and to expect the phone this week or next...I'm still hopeful for tomorrow or black friday. Dec 8th just didn't have enough evidence to convince me.

This is honestly the weirdest launch of any product I've ever seen. Everyone is saying different things! :p

I'm just going to go hibernate for a while, someone wake me up when September- er, I mean, when the Nexus arrives :D

I'm highly intrigued by the fact that you fly.
You're intrigued by people who fly? Come along with me and I'll show you my cockpit. :D

Speaking of which, I'm finally back in the US. Happy to be almost home, but disappointed that it looks like I won't be picking up my Nexus tomorrow. :(

Remember the very exciting 3-day web sale was before the very exciting current 4-day web sale... hmmm... 5-day web sale?

Well, yeah, that exciting 3-day web sale was for a feature phone that was replaced by the new Casio feature phone that came out on the 17th when the sale ended.

This 4-day web sale is for the Samsung Droid charge. Following the pattern...

Happy Sunday nexaholics. I'm generally a pessimist by nature, but I'm holding out hope for a pre-release (unlikely, I know) or at least an announcement tomorrow. But I think the 21st date WAS at some point a possible release date, but was pushed (for whatever reason). Hopefully this coming week, but I think we may be waiting until 12/8 or later. Works out fairly well for me, as I have to wait for my best buy gift cards to arrive anyway :P

Well, I went into the Corporate store one more time to see if I could catch a rumor. Played with the Razor, which was my first choice before getting into the Nexus, and left with it. I just can't get over how beautiful this hardware is, and in the end that means more to me than quick updates. Good luck with the release, I hope
it is soon. I won't be trading in te Razor though, I love it and will wait for ICS.

What matters is that you like the phone.

Well, off to Go hang up GNex Promotional Materials.
Or as most people call it.....Go to the Gym:p

and if it isn't obvious, I'm not actually going to hang up GNex materials, I am going to the gym

Ok from this I'm pretty much guaranteeing it's coming this week. YAY!

Nooo you jumped off the ledge :(

It's too bad for HTC. The rezound is the logical heir to the Incredible. If the GNex didn't come along, I'm sure I would already have a ReZound because I loved my Dinc. That's why I'm a little afraid to try out a rezound, but I know I want to try the Nexus experience of early updates, and vanilla android.

Edit: Cause I see a lot of the same faces on here that I saw on the Dinc thread. This seems to be that crowd recycling for their next upgrade.

I have to wholeheartedly agree. If not for the Nexus I think a lot of us would be getting or already have the ReZound.
and damnit, I've typed ReZound enough that even the iPad corrects it for me. :(

thats actually a pretty good plan, only think is i get to work around 9 :-X RT.287 traffic and parkway traffic in NJ are HORRIBLE! :-(

I am not envious of that commute. I'm on 287 for a small stretch between 208 and 17 so I don't get much traffic from that unless something really bad happens on the thruway.

Here's a tasty little tidbit:

"
cyanogen created branch ics at cyanogen/galaxy-2636 about 12 hours ago

New branch is at /cyanogen/galaxy-2636/tree/ics
Compare ics branch with master

I dunno, it could have been a case of a single rumor then being "corroborated" by others. But we did have a number of different people mentioning 12/8 or "before 12/10" and then we had the screen shots showing 12/8. I think there is a lot more evidence of a 12/8 release. Like I've said previously, I think the 21st WAS there release date at some point, but things have changed.

Welcome back on home soil. And yes, always wanted to sit in the cockpit .
and I will refrain from further comments along that line before I get spanked by a mod. :D
Teterboro is 25 minutes away, fly east would ya??

Yeah, I'm purposely avoiding the stores. I would probably walk out with one. I read it was already rooted, so as soon as CM9, we'd have ICS on the Rezound. I don't think we'd have to wait that long for it.

I think that image is BS. That is not a Nexus in the picture. Plus, the source says it came from AT&T, not Verizon. Why would AT&T compare their LTE phones (in 15 markets) to Verizon who has 100+. Calling Shenanigans on this one

Edit: Could be a Nexus showing Gingerbread

Yeah, we determined fake...note says it was taken from industry websites (Rumor Blogs)

I think that my 9 year old son put that one together.

Nooooooo the bootloader is locked and encrypted, which the GNex had better not be.

Really? I've never had a problem with Samsung hardware. Before I started using smartphones Samsung and Nokia were the makers of the best phones out there, IMHO. My Fascinate has rock solid hardware in it and has been great with that respect. The only issue I've ever had with Samsung is there software and the length of time it takes them to send out updates, but I think the update thing is only a problem in the US. Other than TouchWiz, I think Samsung makes a fantastic product.

Their GPS is notoriously bad and has been commented on in many reviews. On my Charge it would take forever to lock on. Then there's the 4G connectivity issues with the Charge and the lousy Samsung 4G radio. My current Bionic absolutely runs circles around what my Charge could do with a 4G signal.

Look at any Charge forum to see how bad the Samsung hardware can be.

Yea, I noticed. I put it up as soon as I saw it though and then read it in full detail. I was just trying to feed any information I could to the family here. :)

No, Gingerbread has a black notifications bar.
Also, the picture has physical buttons and doesn't follow the form factor of the Nexus at all.

This is the image they grabbed off of the first result on Google Images lol.

I'm bummed by the extra support for 12/8 on droid-life. :( But encouraged by the 32GB shown on the spec sheet of training material. This is a wild ride. Someone snap yo fingers and make it available tomorrow to kill the craziness!

Do wonder if the SAV bug has anything to do with it though. Which I do hope we get to avoid altogether.

I've not been this excited since the launch of the OG Moto Droid, I'm going nuts here! This will probably be a wild week of speculation, if nothing else.
