Doubtful, but this is why I'm glad I'm on the west coast. If I see folks on here from the east coast getting their phones, then you can bet your butt I'll be my VZW store at 10am when they open ;) Same goes for Friday...

Well, I just got home from work, I stopped by my store here in State College, after some amount of prodding, the rep admitted they were ready to go for Friday. They also have demo units but he told me they are not allowed to activate them or even show them at all.. oh well, at least we know that pretty much everyone has stock now...I guess that's something, lol. I'm really becoming fatigued from this whole mess!
 
FWIW i stopped by a radio shack today and the sales associate stated that they would be selling the phone on Friday.. they did not have the phone instock yet but are expecting a delivery tomorrow.

no, but you could guess them from their format and names (h/t consumerist for the suggestion)

Verizon Wireless Media Contacts

from here we know the format is firstname.lastname@verizonwireless.com

so you could grab names from here Verizon Communications Inc.: NYSE:VZ quotes & news - Google Finance

and try putting them in that format.


ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS write in this format:

To whom it may concern,
I have been a long time happy customer of ___________ . Due to recent event/charge/screw up I have a sour taste about keeping my relationship with this company moving forward. Please tell me what steps you are going to take to make this right.

this format works because you establish a few key details:
1. You are not running away from the company or just blowing steam, if they think you are both a valued customer and have a chance to keep you they will try
2. What the problem is/was, be clear, concise, and level headed
3. You put the ball in their court as far as correcting the situation

Caveat: If you post something along these lines in a public place, like twitter or facebook, you have a better chance of getting results


I have personally gotten flight vouchers, $200+ worth of gear from a major computer manufacturer, and much more from following the above letter format both via e-mail, over the phone, and in person

Regardless, I am going to my Verizon Store tomorrow at 8:30am and will be waiting. Is anyone in the Arlington/Alexandria VA area want to join me? If so PM me. If the there is no Gnex release, I might need someone to lend a shoulder....I have truly enjoyed these threads, and I'll take two tickets to that movie!

Perhaps the phone is delayed due to all of the leaks? Maybe they want to crackdown on the leaks, clear everything up, make an official announcement, and start selling the phone?
