I'm sure it will be at some point but I saw what happened with the DesireHD ported to Desire and it wasn't a great result tbh.

Exactly. All this is saying 1 thing to me - upgrade time.

But there are two problems with that.

1 - I don't have the money
2 - I don't know what I'd be upgrading to.

The desire s is lovely, but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much extra for new sense, more internal memory and a nicer build. It's not really worth it and it will be out of date soon enough in what all the reviews call the "dual core age".

The incredible s is also lovely, but it's very expensive for again not much.

Both will be out of date soon enough anyway. Just look at the DHD and DZ.

Using different themes in ASOP ROMs, helps you not to look at the same graphics every time. You get speed, stability and different look and feel from UI.

Desire is still rocking the latest Android, so I don't see any reason to change it, at least for now. Perhaps, in Summer when dual-cores are settled, we can make more informed choices to upgrade our phones.

yeah I have the Honeybread theme and its beautiful. Nice overscroll glow in blue and nice headers and glows here and there.

I've got used to having all of my contacts nicely linked up - I'd seriously consider not upgrading to 2.3 if I was going to lose that! Sounds hopeful from what you say though...

on GV aosp you can join facebook contacts manually

Yeah, both AOSP and Sense are still working fine for me
