Silver ring? We don't need no stinkin silver ring!
We are the Incredible Hard Core.
We'll buy the Inc even if it has NO cow bell.

;)

For what its worth, the cow bell reference was in honor of MM's birthday. He will ring it when he and Kappy are both finally out of the penalty box sometime today.

:D:D:D

got a question guys. I have 2 phones on Verizon, my droid and another crappy dumb phone. the dumb phone is eligible for NE2 in a few days. I wander if I can get the Incredible with the NE2 and then immediately go back to my old phone without the data plan. Then I could activate the HTC in place of my droid on my primary line and keep the Droid for backup. Anyone know if this will work?

NKT I am assuming that the fact the manual says load apps to the SD card is a typo but do you know if this is a possibility?

LOL I was just wondering. It seems that people are nit-picking on so many little things.. It not shipping with a MicroSD Card, why there is no silver ring, onboard storage, amount of ROM differences, etc...

By the way.. I'm in Columbus.

Hey, so am I :) Lewis Center actually.

I live in Columbus as well. I have five stores around Columbus with one being in Lewis Center next to the Starbucks and Pizza Hut.

Let me know if I can help you out with anything.

In regards to the tethering plan....

The Plam Pre Plus is currently offering the free tethering plan.

Could you...

Purchase the palm pre- get the voice/text/data/tether service.

Return the pre when the Inc comes out... get the Inc. But still hold onto the same service?

So in essence... Free tethering for the Inc.

???

Just an idea. If this is stupid... Simply reply with, "Stupid."

This won't happen, because they will be different "features" in our systems. When we want to add the free Palm tethering, we use a certain code. When the Incredible comes out, that code won't be an option to select. Not a bad question :)

But I'm sure Android WiFi Tether will be on there really soon after launch! :D

I almost hate to ask this for fear of opening up a can of worms...but here goes would you recommend installing the task killer app on the Incredible? I have heard both sides some say android handles running apps natively just fine others swear they get better performance and battery life with task killers.

I don't use them...but I always wanted to hear a better reason why I should or shouldn't.

You know, I don't know where people started the "OMG don't use a task killer, you idiot!!!" thing from. Yes, I know the phone handles the memory well and it does it how it wants to. But it is quite obvious that when I kill all my tasks, they phone runs faster and there is more memory available.

But that's how life works... 95% of people are on board and agree on something and the other 5% just have to be different and completely disagree just because. That's what the task killer thing seems like to me. I put it on every Android phone I see everyday and no one has problems and people notice the device being quicker.

I will be putting it on my Incredible. If I choose to get one. I might wait for something else ;)

Some of you folks that are taking this U G and specs info to the extreme need to remember the phone aint even official out yet.

We are seeing doc's that offer good suggestions on what the final product will be like but in no way am I banking on them being Law and Gospel.

Make the decision once you have the phone in hand and the reviews are out describing exactly what comes in the box and how it looks and how it behaves.

Useless post maybe from me but the freneticism in here is entertaining to read at least.

NKT, I know April 29th. has been thrown out as a BB release date. Do you know if there is a possibility of it being released earlier than that by Verizon stores or through online ordering. I've also seen the 25th. mentioned as a possible date for that. Thanks, and thanks for all you have contributed to this thread.

So you are essentially using the NE2 for a different line? Yes, you can do that. I've done it on a number of occasions and plan on doing it again for the Incredible.

Yes I just dont want to be locked into a data plan for 2 years on 2 phones if I go back to the dumb phone for my mother.
