I'm on the phone with a verizon CSR. She said I could order through her but I wouldnt get the instant rebate, should I cancel my online preorder and take the chance of ordering through her to get my phone early?

Edit: I know Hulu doesn't work all the way, but Flash does initialize. ESPN player for example works flawlessly.

Hulu availability might make me consider the TV out cable. It would pretty much completely alleviate my need to take a laptop with me on business trips.

Spoke w/ rep @ Vz ~2ish hours ago. He was supposed to change it online so I could order today using the 1yr upgrade price but it still shows the month-to-month full price to buy phone. At the time had stated would take about 15min to show up for me to do so.

If it were me, I'd wait. You never know.. they just may ship out early anyway, to avoid chaos- like someone posted earlier. Then you'd be out $100 for no good reason.

He wouldn't be out $100, he'd just have to pay it up front and wait for the M.I.R. check. However, I'd be surprised if they didn't fix the issues with devices shipping out early, so it's likely not worth the effort.

Conclusion I came to. I have too many exams this week and a program due Friday that it'd be a bad idea for me to get this phone before the weeks end.

Actually, you could just sync all of your contacts through Exchange or Google so you don't have to fool w/ Verizon's solution.

Oh yeah.....forgot about that. I have a Gmail account so it will automatically sync when I set it up on the new device. I am such an idiot (sometimes).

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm still trying to figure out if we will be able to access the stock 2.1 gallery app or if we're stuck with the Sense one. This is the only aesthetic advantage stock 2.1 has imho.

FWIW I decided to call *611 and ask about the orders. She stated the Incredible is available to purchase now. I ordered mine online and she said that she saw that and that it should be in later today. As of 1:45 Eastern time I have not received it.

I just called *611 and he said that it would be mailed out on the 29th. I told him that I'd get it in the store. He then tried to talk me into the pre-order justifying the extra days wait with the advantage of the instant rebate. Something that I wouldn't get at the store. I'd rather get the phone a day earlier and pay the extra upfront $100 rebate.

There's an APK out there of the regular 2.1 gallery. Just google it.

Otherwise you're stuck with the Sense gallery.

I could have sworn that 16GB chip was IN the box. If it was out of the box I think it would have gotten lost in transit. And that's kind of what the box was designed for. You know, putting things in it.
