Just got off the phone with verizon. I pre-ordered my DI at 12:01 Am on the 19th. I never received a confirmation e-mail from VZW, although the website said it was confirmed. They looked up my order online and weren't able to find it. Had to re-order the phone and finally got a confirmation number from VZW. Check your pre-orders as the website has been jacked up!

This is to everyone who has gotten the phone today, are you seeing any issues? I realize it's out of the box and all. What do you like/dislike about it ? Is it living up to all of the hype? How's the video and FM Tuner? Thanks! Cant' wait for mine to arrive.

My buddy who is a tech at a VZW store just texted me a pic of an Incredible in his hand. He said they just got done watching Hulu on it. Im going to guess it was the store managers phone....A HOLE!

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm still trying to figure out if we will be able to access the stock 2.1 gallery app or if we're stuck with the Sense one. This is the only aesthetic advantage stock 2.1 has imho.

FWIW, the stock Gallery app is what was causing the N1 "screen issues". It used 16-bit textures for the 3D effects, and so images appeared banded and less colorful. Google has said this will be addressed in 2.2. The fact that HTC's Gallery looks a little simpler hints that it's free of the problem.

I'm not trying to dissuade you or anything, just letting you know what to expect.

ESPN player as in ESPN360.com? or well, ESPN3 now.

ESPN8, The Ocho.

some of you people amaze me, do you really need this phone so bad, that you would cancel your current order and order over the phone just to get the phone a few days earlier?

WOOOOWWWWWWW it's a phone!

As of a few weeks ago, my LG Dare is sitting on my desk, plugged in, as a texting-only device, because a battery cell is ruptured. Waiting 9 more days to unplug it is an inconvenience. But, I'm happy with a hard date. I was set on leaving it here longer, if need be. Would have been nice to have been lucky. ;) The time difference does allow me time to eat up research on accessories, and track down that elusive Voice invite. Congrats to the few of you with phone in hand. :p

So I called the local verizon store to ask if I needed to have both phones at the store if I wanted to use the upgrade for a different line. He said no but he also said that he could call me when the Incredible was in but said online sales will be available the 29th. He could not confirm that they were going to be available in store on the 29th. UGH!!! :(

I have an Incredible in my hands right now!!!!

Well, it was just a dummy unit at a VZW corporate store, but it was an Incredible! Not quite the same as some of the lucky ones that got them shipped early!

I was thankful to the rep for bringing it out and letting me check it out. It feels really good and balanced in the hand. Can't wait to get the real thing next week!

c'mon seriously dude, go to ebay and buy your invite like the rest of us. If you can afford a $200 phone, $20 case, $10 screen protector and who knows how many other accessories, if you want a Google Voice account, go buy one. ;)

i dont mind buying one myself...but what exact features does it offer? Is it truly worth the 6 bucks...or should I just wait for google to invite me? I know it offers some sort of text voicemail and visual voicemail...right?

Anonimac - Thanks for the picture of the Incredible next to a Tour (my current phone). Also, congrats on the promotion.

It's awesome. You get a new phone number that you get to choose. It connects all of your lines. You can set it up to screen calls, listen in on voicemails as they are being left and allows you to join the call while someone is leaving a voicemail. Also, you can send group texts from Google Voice. It integrates all of your Gmail contacts for ease. All of your voicemails are now sent to you as text, (not always 100% accurate but getting better). So many functions that you will not be disappointed.

No need to pay for visual voice mail, its FREE and 100% integrated into your Google phone.

Random OT but remember Verizon announcing six new devices? Well we got the two Kins and the Incredible, anyone know what the rest were? Not that I am getting anything else than the Incredible, just curious.

Well I don't think I'm allowed back in that Verizon store...I asked about the Incredible and they yet again, played dumb saying "As of now there is no sure thing it would be there on the 29th (in store)" Thats when I pulled it out and said "Well lookie here, the Unicorn DOES exist. I then hung out as they tried to find out why people were getting it early. I cost them two Moto Droid sales by telling the customers to wait for a week and avoid the $35 return fee. The best part was, one of the assistant manager tried to tell a customer I was lying and that I just took the track ball out of an Eris and passed it off as a new phone.

In addition you can block calls. It seems as the economy continues toward the dumper that I have an influx of calls trying to blindly sell me something.
