Hey i have a question. My friends palm pre automatically imports the phone numbers from facebook into his phone with their name, email, pic, etc. Not talking about just the pictures of contacts you already have in your phone, but importing new ones from facebook automatically. Does the android fb support this?

Yes

Not that this is much to get excited about, but where are you seeing this? I'm looking at the detailed specs off of the upgrade page and it's not there.

Might not be much but at least now i don't have to buy a card just to get the phone working.

Its on the detail page under accessories:

Included Accessories Package Contents:
HTC Incredible™
Limited Introductory Offer: 2 GB MicroSD Card
Standard Lithium Ion Polymer Battery
Wall/USB Charger
Product Safety and Warranty Guide
Quick Start Guide

It now says on the Verizon site that the phone comes with a 2 GB card preinstalled. Another thread has checked this out with verizon and it seems like its legit.

The one he had didn't have a card and he said that it wasn't listed to come with one. We won't know until launch, or those who already have theirs could key in...

Free visual voicemail, for one.

I was a loyal YouMail customer until I got invited to Google voice. I signed up and was extremely disappointed. The transcription is TERRIBLE. Like HORRENDOUS TERRIBLE! I am hoping it gets better in the next few months. It is worth paying for YouMail rather than getting GV for free.

The gradient case doesn't appear anywhere on the VZW web site, not even in the Droid Incredible accessories. But I called VZW customer service, described it, and the CSR found it in the database. He gave me free shipping and a discount.

I saw a post a few pages back asking for this item again. Here it is...

Call *611 from your current Verizon phone, select option 4, then select option 0 and talk to the CSR to place the order.

Enjoy everyone! :)

I went back and back in the thread and the stickies, searching for this info, but can't find it...so I throw myself on the mercy of this list: Where do I order a black/red gradient case? Anybody have a link? I searched VZW's web site but didn't see it.

Here's the ordering info for the red/black gradient case from an earlier post.

Anything "The Pre" can do "D.I." can do better?

observation/question...

Does anyone else find it a least a little ironic how many people are pre-ordering this phone without having seen or played with one in person?

I was lucky enough to play around with one at my local VZW store, but I just feel like everyones big argument against the nexus one was "i don't want to buy a phone that I can't play around with in store first. Bad sales model google!"

And then they pre-ordered it off the internet, untouched, april 19th...

anyone? anyone? beuhler?

I think the big part of us that pre-ordered the phone have been lurking around androidforums back to October. I joined this site in December thinking the phone would be here in a month from that time. Keep in mind that this phone past through the FCC on 12/9/2009 and most of us have followed this phone every day.

I ordered a set of tires for the Aspen in December and just ordered tires for my Challenger off of the internet site unseen. I ordered these because they were almost half the price of retail store. Also, I know walmart puts them on for 26 dollars and can buy the lifetime rotate and balance for 30 dollars more.

The main reason I ordered online was the instant rebate and I know this phone backwards and forwards from following it this long.

I spent some extensive time with 2 Incredibles at 2 different VZW stores today. I am very impressed. Everything about the Incredible was faster than my Droid...the UI, and opening apps, etc. Pages on the browser was also noticeably faster. The phone is very very thin, and light, but a nice weight to it. It feels great in the hand to me, and feels of good quality. Only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't find the "News and Weather" app that comes on Android 2.1 Does anyone know if it is available on the Incredible, and if so, how do I get it?

Nice! If you don't mind my asking, which stores in Atlanta did you find had it? I live in Midtown and I called the closest Verizon store to me yesterday and they said they didn't have it yet. I saw your previous post that referenced dummy units, but my understanding was dummy units don't actually have anything loaded on them.

Yes, transcription is not that good, but you can still use GV like any other visual voicemail where you can click play and listen to the message. It's not like you're losing the functionality of visual voicemail.

+1 Pretty much like buying computer hardware, etc. Also most of us have played with the Hero/Eris so we pretty much have an idea of how the phone would perform. Remember, lots of us here wanted a Droid Eris with the Droid's hardware, we pretty much got what we wished for :D
