It's because 1 gigabyte is technically 1024 megabytes, not 1000.. so 16/1.024 = 15.625 gigs of space, and it is probably reserving some of the space for temp files etc. Hard drive manufacturers do this all the time and it is annoying; buy a 1 TB drive but after formatting it only gives you ~976 GBs.

As an aside my order number is 327380*** and it doesn't show as shipped yet. :mad:

(Been lurking the forum for the past month, love it here - you guys had the best info before anyone else)

I would definitely call them and see what's up. I know it's only a 2GB card but still....I mean you can....uhm, well, i'm sure there's something you can do with a free 2gb card...:)

The phone is MICRO USB.

I'm confused. All the specs released have shown it having just b/g, not n. Before the official announcement, it was thought that it would have n. Are you sure, because I'd be even more happy!

Hey, I don't have a lap top so I can't attempt to tether the phone, but the option is there. In the box the phone comes in has a card saying if you want to tether you should visit some website (I tossed the card so I ca't tell you the exact site, but it was a verizn site) to set it up.
 
Can anyone who preorder the phone and have been checking their order statuses do something for me? If you log in to your Verizon Wireless account, and then click on your phone you're upgrading, can you proceed to order the phone again or does it have some text that says something like "this line is waiting on an order" and you can't proceed past that?

I'm able to proceed all the way to pushing the confirm order button, and I don't understand why as I ordered the phone last week on Tuesday. But to anyone that is looking at their order statuses, let me know. This will help me understand if it's just showing me that because they're processing my order or if they canceled my order out of the blue.

Same here and still "awaiting approval or phone availability." Sorry, I know this order status bunk drives some of you crazy but I am just a little antsy that mine is still saying that because I attempted to bill the phone at retail to my account. It's been 5 days (ordered 4/19 at 9:30 a.m. EST); I seriously hope they would have informed me if that amount exceeds the limit that can be charged.

Ordered mine through VZW at $529.99. FWIW, my local BB said that they will match any competitor's price, either in-store (with ad) or website.

I agree the transcription is bad, but I actually get a good chuckle out of some of the things it comes up with. And in all fairness sometimes when I listen to the message it is very difficult for me to understand what the person is saying. The quality of the transcription is directly related to the speed and clarity of the person leaving the message. This feature does need some work and will likely get better, but for free I am not going to complain.

My order was processed as of last night, will recieve in 2-3 days etc. and my bank account was also just billed the full amount. Went into my verizon and when I click upgrade phone, it IS greyed out and says i already ordered a phone that isn't activated yet etc. hope this helps.

mine says the same thing :) and it won't ship until Monday at the earliest, so hopefully we get our tracking numbers then!
